Lights… Camera… DANCE! It’s time to roll out the red carpet and step into the magic of the movies this year at Robertson Dance Academy’s annual dance school show. Join over 200 dancers from 18 months old to 18 years old, as they put on an Oscar winning performance to blockbuster movie soundtracks incorporating Ballet, Modern Jazz, Highland Dancing, Tap, Lyrical and Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Acro and Commercial Street Dance styles. This family friendly production will have you dancing in your seat to your favourite chart topping songs from films across the generations.

LADAMA Presents: BACK TO THE 80s

From the company that brought you Anastasia in 2025, it’s time to step Back to the 80s which tells the story of the senior class of William Ocean High School that graduated in 1985, as remembered and seen through the eyes of Corey Palmer, who is now 30-something. The then 17-year-old Corey is madly in love with his next-door neighbour, Tiffany Houston, one of the coolest girls in the school. However, she barely notices this, as she is too busy mooning over Michael Feldman, the hottest guy around. Michael and his friends are athletic and good-looking - the kind of guys that Corey and his two best friends dream of being. However, while they may not be the coolest guys in school, they are still one up on Feargal McFerrin III, whose best friend is his computer, and who believes the crazy notion that one day CD's will replace cassette tapes. Throw in a Star Wars dream sequence, high-energy dance routines, the obligatory 80's party scene, copious amounts of blue eye-hadow, fifteen cans of hairspray, as well as some of the most popular songs ever written, “Man in the Mirror”, “Material Girl”, “Dancing on the Celling” and “Total Eclipse of the Heart” (to name few). Join us for an exciting evening with award winning author JD Kirk, the creator of the wonderful DCI Jack Logan, Robert Hoon and DI Heather Filson series of crime books. JD Kirk is a Scottish crime fiction author who has written and published over twenty novels in the DCI Jack Logan series and has gone on to sell more than five million copies of his books. He has also, through the course of his writing career, murdered approximately fifty fictional highlanders, much to the delight of his worldwide fans who particularly love his twisting plots, gruesome deaths and laugh-out-loud humour!
