Re-presenting King James V1-three Dimensional Perspectives

Dr Anna Groundwater of the National Museum of Scotland will present a lecture on King James V1. The talk will explore some of the objects held in the National Collection and suggest a more three-dimensional understanding of this King whose Palace was in Dunfermline before he travelled to Westminster in London on being crowned King James 1 of England in July 1603.

Moving Pictures - Rush Tribute

This high-energy event brings together an exciting mix of bands, singers, drag artists, burlesque performers, and more, all going head-to-head in a Battle of the Bands–style showdown. Celebrating talent in all its forms, SlayOff! promises a night bursting with music, artistry, and Pride spirit. Hosted by the iconic Ivy, the evening will feature a guest judging panel drawn from across Scotland’s creative scene, each offering insight, personality, and flair as they help crown our first-ever SlayOff! champion. The Lucky 9 Competing Performers are: Rebekah Arthur, Angelica Mode, Atreus Star, Blondie Fizz, Clementina, Mx. Peri.Mint, Anna, David Leon, and Die and Niceness, showcasing a vibrant range of talent from Fife and beyond. Author Event With Tariq Ashkanani

Come along to Duloch Library for an exciting evening with award-winning Scottish crime author, Tariq Ashkanani. Tariq’s first book, Welcome to Cooper, was published in 2021 and won the Blood Scotland Debut Award. His latest novel The Midnight King, was awarded the McIlvanney Award for the Scottish Crime Book of 2025. The book is a thriller about the son of a serial killer returning home for his father's funeral. The celebrated author leaves behind a manuscript which forms a fictionalised confession and a box filled with mementos from each of the children he as killed, including one from a girl who went missing days before his death. This is a story about family, trauma and the secrets we keep within. Tariq will be joining us at Duloch Library on Thursday 23rd April at 7pm*. Audience 16+ (*Doors ). Tickets £3.00

Fife Brass Band Festival

The Fife Brass Band Festival is an annual competition for up to 16 contesting brass bands from Scotland and further afield. This year, 2026, the event will be held in the Carnegie Hall, Dunfermline, on Saturday , April 25th, band will play, onstage, a 20 minute entertainment programme of own choice music, to be judged on musical performance and entertainment value. The Fife Brass Band Festival is open to the public who will be treated to a day of live music making which will cater for all tastes. Something for everyone. All ages are welcome. While the results are being prepared after the last competing band has played, the cooperation youth brass band will play a 25 minute concert. Trophies and awards will be presented thereafter. We look forward to welcoming all bands and audience members.

Fleetwood Bac

FLEETWOOD BAC were the world’s first and are regarded as the UK’s most authentic Fleetwood Mac Tribute show, raved about by Peter Green’s biographer, and were the first Fleetwood Mac tribute band to fully replicate the classic Stevie, Lindsey, Christine, John & Mick ‘Rumours’ line-up. Over the many years Fleetwood Bac have been together the band has received rave reviews from ‘The Stage’ newspaper, the U.K.s leading Fleetwood Mac fansites, the official Stevie Nicks website; and from ecstatic audiences wherever the band played, wowing audiences as far afield as Dubai, St. Tropez, the Cayman Islands and Monte Carlo, and twice selling out the world-famous Minack Theatre in Cornwall. Fleetwood Bac has also been rated by The Times newspaper as one of the U.K.’s top 5 tributes, alongside The Bootleg Beatles, Bjorn Again and the Counterfeit Stones. Fans have included original Mac bassist and biographer Bob Brunning, who joined the band several times on stage, and Peter Green’s official biographer Martin Celmins.
