Epworth Dementia Café – Welcoming Social Support for People Living With Dementia and Carers (PLWD) The Epworth Dementia Café creates a friendly place for PLWD (People Living With Dementia) and their carers. You can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, share your experiences, and connect with others in a supportive environment. The café meets Held on the second Thursday of each month 1pm to 3pm. Thurlow Pavilion, Station Road, Epworth, DN9 1JU   There is no need to book. Just arrive and a date falls on a bank holiday, we may move the session. Please call to confirm.   At each session, you can: - Enjoy a hot drink and friendly conversations - Take part in calming activities designed for those with memory difficulties or dementia - Find peer support and share practical ideas - Talk with our Dementia Advisors and access their support Our sessions help reduce isolation and support wellbeing. They align with our mission to empower carers and PLWD across North Lincolnshire. The Carers Support Service and Dementia Direct has supported carers for nearly 30 years. We offer free, confidential services including peer groups, counselling, training, advice, and wellbeing activities. Working closely with other partners we deliver holistic help from diagnosis onward, however no diagnosis is needed. We design all support to build resilience, promote independence, and foster strong community bonds. Attending a Dementia Café provides company, strengthens connections.

Carers of People with Mental Health Conditions NEL Mental Health Carers Peer Support Group Caring for someone with a mental health condition brings unique challenges. The Carers Support Service provides a peer support group tailored to your needs. This group meets on the second Thursday of the month at: The Carers' Support Service 1 Town Hall Square Grimsby DN31 1HY 1pm - 3pm   You can connect with other carers, share experiences, and gain insight in a respectful, understanding setting. The sessions include: - Meaningful conversation with people who understand your role - Practical signposting to local services like Navigo’s carers support, our online support Hub, and Focus SPA - Emotional support to help you manage stress and avoid burnout - Information about different mental health conditions and advice on how you can support someone - Tools and tips to promote your wellbeing and caring resilience Navigo plays a key role in supporting carers of people with mental health conditions. Their advocacy services through Cloverleaf help carers and service users have their voices heard. Navigo also offers Admiral Nurses who provide personalised advice and emotional support to family carers.
