Each week you’ll explore accessible craft activities in a relaxed, friendly space where you can slow down, switch off and reconnect with yourself and the people around you. These gentle, no‑pressure sessions are perfect whether you’re completely new to crafting or simply looking for a mindful pause in your week. They offer space to learn, experiment and enjoy being part of a caring, creative community. By the end of the morning, you’ll leave with your very own piece of embroidery with a difference, a sense of achievement and the warm feeling that comes from spending time with others in a positive, creative environment. Everyone is welcome, just bring yourself and an openness to explore. Join Our Flower Drawing & Mixed Media Workshop: A Day of Floral Creativity Your tutor, Faye, is looking forward to welcoming you and sharing a relaxed and inspiring day of flower drawing and creative exploration with mixed media. Together, you’ll explore the beauty of fresh flowers through drawing flowers and exploring mixed media, taking time to slow down, observe and create in a supportive environment. If you’ve booked but can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your place to someone else. Come and join Viv and Kate for a relaxed and friendly creative session where you’ll have the chance to try your hand at making a sea glass picture. This is a gentle, three-hour afternoon designed to help you slow down, switch off from everyday stresses and fully immerse yourself in the joy of making. You’ll enjoy a calm, supportive atmosphere focused on social connection, mindfulness and creativity, where there’s no pressure to be perfect … just plenty of encouragement, laughter and time to explore something new. Whether you’re completely new to crafting or simply fancy trying a different technique, this session is all about learning, experimenting and having fun together. By the end of the afternoon, you’ll not only have new skills and something handmade to be proud of, but also a sense of calm, achievement and connection with others. Drawing with Confidence - 3 Week Course

Kate Sketching a Leaf This session is part of a 3-week course – Booking covers all 3 dates. A generous donation means you can join this workshop at a fraction of the cost – don’t miss out!Book the full course here The Course Have you ever felt that drawing ‘wasn’t for you’ because of something said years ago? And yet, perhaps you’ve quietly admired other people’s sketches, wondering if you might be able to do the same. If so, and if you’re curious, a little unsure, but willing to give it a go, then Drawing with Confidence is designed especially for you. This three-week course welcomes complete beginners and anyone who feels nervous about starting. You don’t need experience or natural “talent” … just a willingness to turn up and try. Many people discover that drawing isn’t about being good or bad; it’s about learning to see, to slow down and to enjoy the process. You’ll be part of a supportive, friendly group of like-minded people, all exploring together in a relaxed, encouraging environment. There is no judgement here … only patience, reassurance and space to grow at your own pace and set you on a path of drawing with confidence. Throughout the course, your tutor Kate will gently guide you, offering clear instructions as well as plenty of encouragement, so that gradually you can build trust in your own marks and ideas.

Join Our Layered Glass Artwork Workshop: Create a Framed Fused Glass Picture Your tutor, Dawn, is looking forward to welcoming you and sharing a creative and inspiring introduction to layered glass artwork. In this relaxed, hands-on workshop, you’ll design and make your own beautiful framed fused glass picture, using colourful glass pieces to build depth, detail and personality into your work. Curry, Quiz & a Cracking Night Out

Curry. Quiz. Good company. Great cause … nowt better eh! Grab your friends, form a team of up to six and join us for a deliciously fun evening of brain‑teasing questions, tasty curry and light‑hearted games. We have 42 spaces only, so book early to secure your spot. Booking open until 5th June … go, go go! For £10 per person you’ll enjoy your choice of one of the followng curries: vegan, chicken or lamb, plus entry to the quiz. Before booking, your team will need a name (we love inventive but not risque please!) Each team member booking their ticket will need to let us know the team name, their curry choice and any allergies or intolerances … we will not be able to make food changes on the night. Bring your own drinks: alcohol or soft drinks and your own glasses: sorry! We’ll provide tea and coffee. Doors opens at 6pm • Food served at 6.30pm • Quiz starts at 7.30pm Expect a relaxed, laughter‑filled evening with a break for fun mini‑games like 1‑Line Bingo. Feel free to stay and natter until 10.30pm. All proceeds help us continue developing Our Crafty Place into a welcoming creative home for the community. Looking forward to welcoming you all!

Join us for a relaxed and inspiring creative workshop led by Helen, who specialises in mosaic making. This friendly session is designed to give you the chance to learn directly from an expert in a calm, supportive and enjoyable environment. Come and have a go at making a glorious mosaic. During the three-hour afternoon workshop, you’ll be gently guided through new techniques, helping you to build confidence, develop new skills and enhance your crafting abilities, all at a comfortable, unhurried pace and under the watchful eye of your expert tutor. Whether you’re completely new to crafting or looking to expand your creative knowledge, you’ll feel welcomed, encouraged and supported every step of the way. It is a very easy to learn craft, suitable for all ages and abilities. You will be making a small mosaic that you can display, give to a loved one or use every day as a coatser for your cuppa.. We believe that everyone deserves the chance to create, so complete beginners are not only welcome, but positively encouraged. This is your time to relax, connect with others and discover the joy of learning something new. To make sure everyone gets plenty of time with Helen, this workshop is limited to only 10.

Kinusaiga: Textile Pictures Without Sewing

Join Our Kinusaiga Workshop Your tutor, Kate, is looking forward to welcoming you and sharing this beautiful Japanese craft with you. Kinusaiga is a modern Japanese craft where patterns are built from small pieces of fabric tucked into carved lines on a soft board. Instead of stitching, the design is created by gently pressing each fabric fragment into place, forming a richly textured, layered picture. The result is a beautiful patchwork‑style artwork that blends traditional textile charm with contemporary crafting techniques. What You’ll Do Learn how to prepare your foam board and transfer your chosen design Cut and shape fabric pieces to fit your pattern Press and tuck fabric into carved lines to build your artwork Layer colours and textures to create depth and detail Finish and mount your piece ready to take home You Will Explore How colour, pattern and texture influence your final design Techniques for clean edges and smooth layering How to design your own image, if you feel inspired This Workshop is Perfect for • Complete beginners • Anyone who enjoys textiles, pattern, or mindful making • People who like slow, absorbing crafts • No experience is needed.
