Our pre-season friendly against Blackburn Rovers will take place a week before heading into the 2026/27 season. The fixtures for the upcoming campaign will be released on Thursday 25 June, with the Carabao Cup Round One fixture set to be played over the weekend beginning on Friday 7 August 2026. Town last hosted Blackburn Rovers at Accu Stadium on Boxing Day 2023. Having already been confirmed in Group H in the EFL Trophy, Liverpool U21s have joined the Terriers alongside Doncaster Rovers and Rochdale to complete the group. Full details on the dates and times of these ties will be confirmed in due course. Following this draw, we were drawn away at Preston North End live on Sky Sports News for the Carabao Cup Round One fixture with our numbers the last two to be drawn in the Northern section. Foundations Set For Men’s First Team In Portugal

- Huddersfield Town Men’s First Team settle in to pre-season tour- Work being put in place in Portugal ahead of 2026/27 Sky Bet League One season- Terriers get out on the grass in the Algarve Our Men’s First Team have spent their first full day at our pre-season headquarters in Alcantarilha, where they have been working in the gym, putting in the hard yards on the grass, and getting some valuable recovery time in, before spending some time together in the evening. After a long day of travel yesterday, the squad were put through their paces, with two hard-hitting training sessions, alongside some weight and recovery sessions. With the Portuguese heat creating challenging conditions, Martin Drury and his staff ensured that the lads were delivering a high output that will help them with the demands of the season ahead. Starting their day in the gym, the team worked through a strength and conditioning session, followed by some cardio, to set them up for their first training session. When out on the grass, the training drills were carried out at an intense and electrifying pace. Building themselves up for Friday’s fixture against Birmingham City at the Estádio da Nora.Huddersfield Town defender Lasse Sorensen commented: “It’s good, it’s very good, and it’s very intense — we have done a lot of one vs one, and two vs two work in the heat, so it doesn’t get better than that.

Club Review 2025/26 Fan Engagement Initiatives

- Huddersfield Town review fan engagement opportunities from 2025/26 season- Club’s commitment to supporters detailed in full within our 2025/26 Fan Engagement Plan - Comments from Head of Supporter Experience Robyn Kennerdale Throughout the 2025/26 season we continued to deliver upon our Fan Engagement Plan, proudly creating greater opportunities for supporters to interact with their Club whilst simultaneously working toward improving supporter experience. Well before a competitive ball had even been kicked, our supporters were invited to a Q&A session with key Club personnel whilst on tour in Austria. Season Card Holders and supporters were then invited the Accu Stadium for an open training session with our Men’s First Team, coinciding with local school’s summer holidays. Throughout the campaign, more regular events took place such as our Tea Time with the Chairman afternoons each time Kevin Nagle visited the Club from Sacramento, monthly Disabled Supporters’ Club meetings now hosted at the Accu Stadium, quarterly All Together Town panels and weekly Supporter Services Drop-In Sessions every Wednesday morning. Above and beyond regular opportunities, the Club also hosted one-off events across the campaign to maintain transparency with supporters.

2026/27 Efl Trophy Group Confirmed

- Huddersfield Town’s 2026/27 EFL Trophy group confirmed- Town face Doncaster Rovers, Rochdale, and Liverpool U21s in Group H of Northern Section- Group finalised at 2.30pm on Thursday 25 June with addition of U21 opponent Huddersfield Town’s 2026/27 EFL Trophy group has been confirmed, with the Terriers set to face fellow Sky Bet League One side Doncaster Rovers and Sky Bet League Two newcomers Rochdale as well Premier League U21 side Liverpool U21s in Group H of the Northern Section. The final member of Group H has been confirmed, with Town now also joined by Liverpool U21s. Beginning with a Group Stage that consists of 16 regionalised groups of four teams each - eight each in the Northern and Southern Sections - the 48 eligible EFL sides from across Sky Bet League One and Sky Bet League Two are joined by 16 invited Under 21 sides from Premier League academies. Set to commence from early September 2026, exact fixture dates and attendance information will be confirmed in due course. The top two sides from each group will progress to the knockout stages, with the EFL Trophy remaining regionalised until the Quarter Final stage. All matches level after 90 minutes will be determined by penalty kicks up to, and including, the Semi Finals.
