Foundations Set For Men’s First Team In Portugal

After a long day of travel yesterday, the squad were put through their paces, with two hard-hitting training sessions, alongside some weight and recovery sessions. With the Portuguese heat creating challenging conditions, Martin Drury and his staff ensured that the lads were delivering a high output that will help them with the demands of the season ahead. Starting their day in the gym, the team worked through a strength and conditioning session, followed by some cardio, to set them up for their first training session. When out on the grass, the training drills were carried out at an intense and electrifying pace. Building themselves up for Friday’s fixture against Birmingham City at the Estádio da Nora.Huddersfield Town defender Lasse Sorensen commented: “It’s good, it’s very good, and it’s very intense — we have done a lot of one vs one, and two vs two work in the heat, so it doesn’t get better than that.
