Easter Play Weekend with The Wild Things

Easter Play Days with The Wild Things! ….An invite for all children and families. Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th April, 10am – 4pm both days. Join us for a day (or come to both!) of seasonal crafting, loose part play, and outdoor activities. This event is a DROP IN, no pre booking required! Craft Delivery Come and do some imaginative seasonal crafts … including our last-forever flowers! With at least three things for everyone to take home. Outdoor Exploration We’ll have a scavenger hunt for you, some outdoor play and hopefully have the the fire pit going for some smore breaks! Plenty of Play We’ll have some tuff tray activities and messy play for younger ones, plus loose part play, free play and games and challenges for everybody. Grown ups Grab a coffee from the cafe, sit down in our comfy area, have a complete conversation, or go get some fresh air – we have the play handled! £7 per child  |     (£5 for subsequent siblings)    |      Stay as long as you like! Pop along at any point in the day and stay for as long as you like. We are passionate about the 6 – 11 age range needing more creativity, imagination and free time outdoors injected into their weeks. Whilst we focus on that age range, there will always be activities for younger children to get involved in and enjoy, everyone is welcome.

Awakening the tremor: An introduction to neurogenic yoga with certified provider Freya Nettelsmith These two-hour workshops offer an introduction to neurogenic yoga, an approach that uses yoga postures, movement, and breath to prepare the body to come back into relationship with its natural tremor mechanism. This neurogenic process (the same process we are working with in TRE) helps release deep tension, calm the nervous system, and restore balance. Yang to Yin- Sunday Sanctuary Evening Reset

Exhale the week that’s been, and soften into the one ahead. This Sunday evening Yang to Yin class is a steady, nourishing practice designed to help you unwind, reset, and reconnect with yourself. We begin with an uplifting, flowing Yang sequence to gently energise the body, release held tension, and clear mental noise. From there, the pace slows as we transition into deep Yin postures, allowing the nervous system to settle and the body to soften. Expect mindful movement, grounded breathwork, and time to pause – supporting both physical release and a sense of emotional and mental ease. This is a space to let go of effort, drop out of the busy mind, and create space for what’s next. Suitable for all levels, this class isn’t about pushing or perfecting poses. You’re invited to move in a way that feels supportive, listening to your body and meeting yourself exactly where you are. Join Melissa Porter in the beautiful Carthouse for Vinyasa Yoga. Expect a gentle warm up, building to some flowing yoga sequences balanced with restorative poses. All classes end with a few moments in silent meditation and a deep relaxation to leave you feeling grounded and calm. As part of this class is dynamic, it is aimed at people who can get up from and down to the ground with ease. Full and New Moon Sound Bath – with Cecilia Edwards

Join Cecilia in the Cart House monthly/bi-monthly on a Monday evening where she will be playing three beautiful gongs, along with Crystal, Tibetan singing bowls and other therapeutic instruments. The vibration of the gong is a powerful method for reducing stress. The gong induces a holistic resonance in the body and a spontaneous meditative state in the mind, resulting in a sense of expanded awareness and wholeness, and an intense sense of letting go. In tune with the lunar cycle, the sessions are held close to the new and full moons, a time to practice self-care and compassion ~ to travel inwards and release what no longer serves the soul while heightening our energetic vibration. Just as the new moon is a powerful time for intention setting, full moons bring closure and can help cleanse and clarify situations. Doors open from 6.45pm to start session will last for 75 Minutes. Free parking available on site.
