All materials are provided and you’ll create your own keyring and small wall hanging to take home, something you’ll feel really proud of. It’s a fun and therapeutic session, perfect for anyone who fancies trying something a little bit different while enjoying a calm, creative evening.

Unity Café is focused on being a safe space for people thatperhaps are alone, want some company and support etc. But also somewhere to smile, laugh and enjoy a good coffee with friends. Will be led by Sheila and Alisonwho have both completed mental health first aid training along withsafeguarding etc etc. Sheila has a wealth of experience supporting peopleand that is the key focus of this open café. The Café itself has no religious focus, but we always offer theopportunity for people to light a candle to remember a loved one or to celebrate a joy in life. (they are atthe front of the Church). Peter our IT Buddy can give free help and advice with your IT problems, including obtaining and renewing a Blue Badge, Buss Pass or driving licence, how to use social media and email and look up a wide variety of topics on the internet. Bring your mobile phone or tablet (iPad) along for help but you must ring to make an appointment between 10am and 3pm. Graham, our other IT Buddy, can give similar help on alternate Wednesday afternoons.

We are “Going All In” for the National Year of Reading. All of this summers Busy Bee’s sessions will take inspiration from the books and stories we love and that have a link to the history, heritage and nature of the gardens. Be a Part of Scarborough’s History! Join our Scarborough 400 Community Quilt Project. Help create a beautiful community wall hanging for Beeforth’s Hive. Join local sewing teacher Millie Robinson to celebrate 400 years of our town. Using Free-Motion Embroidery (drawing with thread), you will stitch a postcard panel of your favourite seaside memory: from the Castle to beach huts, South Cliff clock tower to dolphins… • When: Mondays 27 July, 3 August, or 10 August I 1pm — 4pm • Where: Beeforth’s Hive, South Cliff Gardens • Skills: Absolutely no experience needed. Love Parks with Everyone Active

It’s a summer of sport with the Commonwealth Games coming to Glasgow this month. Our friends from Everyone Active will be helping us celebrate this and Love Parks week with a fun, free, kids obstacle course in the Shuttleworth Gardens.
