This session is free for unpaid Carers who are registered with The Carers Support Service, NEL. – Its free and easy to register by clicking here! Wednesday 22nd July 11am-12.30pm Carers’ Support Service, 1 Town Hall Square, Grimsby, DN31 1HY These sessions promote both physical and emotional relaxation. You will be guided through gentle meditation practices that help calm the mind and release tension. Many carers find meditation a useful way to process emotions, reset energy levels, and improve overall wellbeing. The session focuses on cleansing energy centres, releasing built-up stress, and creating space for renewed focus. It allows carers to reconnect with themselves while finding a moment of peace away from daily demands. – Welcoming Social Support for People Living With Dementia and Carers (PLWD) The Brigg Dementia Café creates a friendly place for PLWD (People Living With Dementia) and their carers. You can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, share your experiences, and connect with others in a supportive environment. The café meets on the last Monday of every month, from 1pm to 3pm. With the exception of Bank Holidays We welcome everyone at Brigg Methodist Church, Wesley Road, Brigg, DN20 8TR. There is no need to book. Just arrive and feel at ease. If a date falls on a bank holiday, we may move the session. Please to confirm. At each session, you can: - Enjoy a hot drink and friendly conversations - Take part in calming activities designed for those with memory difficulties or dementia - Find peer support and share practical ideas - Talk with our Dementia Advisors and access their support Our sessions help reduce isolation and support wellbeing. They align with our mission to empower carers and PLWD across North Lincolnshire. The Carers Support Service and Dementia Direct has supported carers for nearly 30 years. Lunch Club at PAL Bar and Kitchen – Social Time for Local Carers The Lunch Club at PAL Bar and Kitchen offers carers a welcoming space to enjoy good food and friendly company. Caring can be rewarding but also isolating. That’s why taking time out to relax and connect with others is so important. The Lunch Club meets monthly at PAL Bar and Kitchen in Grimsby , giving unpaid carers the chance to share a meal together. Each session provides a set menu, usually including jacket potatoes, burritos, sandwiches, toasties, or soup. Options may vary each time, but there is always something tasty available. Every meal comes with a choice of tea or coffee to enjoy alongside. These meals cost £6 per person and are subsidised by The Carers’ Support Service. The bookings are only open to Carers registered with The Carers’ Support Service. Last Tuesday of each month* except December 12.30pm – 2.00pm PAL Bar and Kitchen 18 Abbeygate Grimsby, DN31 1JY To make the gathering even more fun, there is usually a small raffle (this is cash only). Many carers tell us the raffle adds a light-hearted touch and helps bring people together. The Carers’ Support Service has been helping carers across North and North East Lincolnshire for more than 30 years.
