Warm Welcome Space

The Redeemer Warm Welcome space runs on Fridays during term time from 1-3pm. The space has been a national response to the cost of living and energy crisis; visitors are welcomed in for a hot drink, some cake and company. We have continued to have some regulars from the community who seem to find it a safe space which is so encouraging. This can also be a space for people at Redeemer to connect with each other – if you're free on a Friday afternoon and want a chat or want to meet up with someone at warm space please do feel free to come, we would love to see you.

The run is organised by volunteers ; if running is not your thing, you could get involved with one of the many simple tasks that make each event work. Check the parkrun news page for occasional cancellations. The lowercase 'p' on parkrun looks odd to us too - please see the parkrun website where they state "parkrun should always be one word, all lowercase."

Kinusaiga is a modern Japanese craft where patterns are built from small pieces of fabric tucked into carved lines on a soft board. Instead of stitching, the design is created by gently pressing each fabric fragment into place, forming a richly textured, layered picture. The result is a beautiful patchwork‑style artwork that blends traditional textile charm with contemporary crafting techniques. What You’ll Do Learn how to prepare your foam board and transfer your chosen design Cut and shape fabric pieces to fit your pattern Press and tuck fabric into carved lines to build your artwork Layer colours and textures to create depth and detail Finish and mount your piece ready to take home You Will Explore How colour, pattern and texture influence your final design Techniques for clean edges and smooth layering How to design your own image, if you feel inspired This Workshop is Perfect for • Complete beginners • Anyone who enjoys textiles, pattern, or mindful making • People who like slow, absorbing crafts • No experience is needed. Sensory Garden Volunteering

(In association with Friends of Wollaton Park) This small, quiet secluded space is cared for by a small group of dedicated volunteers who meet here on Saturday Mornings during the growing season from 10–12 for gentle gardening. Our aim is to keep the rampant weeds under control and allow the other plants both wild and introduced to thrive and gradually to add plants to restore and enhance the sensory and colour themes. The Keys to Health, Wholeness & Fruitfulness Course

This day is in addition to the recently ran 'Keys to Health & Wholeness Course'. Bringing together truth from the Bible and wisdom from the medical world, Keys To Health, Wholeness & Fruitfulness will equip you to be a healthy, whole disciple of Jesus whose life really counts. Spaced over 8 weeks (not the 26th May) the course will equip you with Biblical truth and help grow you understanding of what it means to live fully for the Lord. Each session includes a video with medical professionals and church leaders and a time of discussion.
