Name of class - Botanical eco contact printingHost name - Vanessa ReynoldsDate of class - Saturday 18th JulyTime of class - 1pm - 4pm In this workshop you will learn how to create your own botanic eco contact prints onto paper, using only local plants, rust, compression and boiling. These prints can then be used as you like e.g. simply framing them, painting on top of them, making cards, book marks, gift bags etc. You will also use ready made paper whilst waiting for the boiling process to work it's magic, to make greetings cards, gift bags and cover notebooks. You will reveal your beautiful, unique botanic plants before you leave. Your host will wash, dry and iron them ready for you to collect from shop in approximately three days following the workshop. Everything you need is provided. What We Need From You: Your name, email address and telephone numberPlease also make us aware of any disabilities and special requirements e.g. mobility issues During the workshops, we may take photographs for use on our social media and on our website. Included in the £15 fee are; *8 A3 soya milk soaked and dried papers *The equipment and ingredients to complete the printing process *The plants needed to complete your prints, (although you could bring your own too) *Vanessa to set up and supervise boiling process *washing, drying and ironing service provided for completed prints. Silver ring making Host: Ruth Patterson Cost: £39 In this workshop you will learn to create your very own simple sterling silver ring. Working with sterling silver we will use traditional jewellery making techniques to create a beautiful silver band ring for you to wear and take home. We will learn to size your ring and add texture the surface, the ring will then be soldered, after which you will clean, finish and polish your ring so that you can wear it . The course cost includes materials for one silver ring. Suitable for those aged 16 years and over. No previous jewellery experience is necessary, all materials to make your ring are supplied and all tools needed for the class will be provided for use during the workshop. As we will be working with tools, loose clothing should be avoided, closed toe shoes should be worn, if you have long hair it should be worn tied back and please remember to bring glasses if needed as we will be working with small objects. The workshop takes place on the first floor, tea and coffee will be available. What We Need From You: Your name, email address and telephone number.
