Restore Calm and Support Your Wellbeing Caring for someone can feel rewarding, but it also brings stress and emotional strain. That’s why taking time for yourself is so important. Our Meditation Session in Grimsby hosted by Anna from Shamanic Studio, Grimsby provides a peaceful space for carers to rest, restore, and rebalance. This session is free for unpaid Carers who are registered with The Carers Support Service, NEL. – Its free and easy to register by clicking here! Wednesday 22nd July 11am-12.30pm Carers’ Support Service, 1 Town Hall Square, Grimsby, DN31 1HY These sessions promote both physical and emotional relaxation. You will be guided through gentle meditation practices that help calm the mind and release tension. Many carers find meditation a useful way to process emotions, reset energy levels, and improve overall wellbeing. The session focuses on cleansing energy centres, releasing built-up stress, and creating space for renewed focus. It allows carers to reconnect with themselves while finding a moment of peace away from daily demands. You don’t need any previous experience in meditation—everyone is welcome, whether you are new to the practice or already familiar. The sessions are designed to be inclusive, supportive, and accessible, giving all carers an opportunity to take part. Carers often tell us that it can be difficult to prioritise their own needs. These sessions are a reminder that self-care is not selfish—it is essential.

Tai Chi for Carers – Brigg Tai Chi supports your wellbeing through slow, mindful movement. It improves strength, balance, and relaxation in one simple practice. Our Tai Chi sessions offer a hands-on way for unpaid carers to care for themselves. You learn gentle exercises in a friendly group at the Carers Support Service. Usually monthly on the last Friday The Carers’ Support Service 11 Redcombe Lane Brigg DN20 8AU 10am – 11am Tai Chi enhances balance and coordination to help reduce the risk of falls. Its flowing movements also boost flexibility and core strength while being easy on the joints. Many participants report feeling calmer and more grounded after each class. These sessions help manage stress. The deliberate, mindful motions and controlled breathing help release tension. This gentle practice reduces anxiety, supports mood, and enhances mental clarity. Classes run monthly lasting around one hour. Our experienced instructors welcome all abilities and offer modifications to suit each attendee’s mobility level. Booking is essential on At the Carers Support Service , we’ve supported carers for nearly 30 years. Alongside Tai Chi, we offer free, confidential help such as benefits advice, peer groups, Dementia Direct services, counselling, training, and wellbeing activities.
