Sound of the Sirens

Sound of the Sirens are a singer-songwriting duo based in Exeter, Devon comprising of Abbe Martin & Hannah Wood. Honing their craft over the past decade, Martin & Wood have cemented themselves as firm favourites as “one of the UK’s finest folk acts” not only on the Westcountry scene, but nationally, and internationally too. Their status, and fast-growing fan-base is not only testament to the pair’s prowess as songwriters and musicians, but as people too.

Good Evening - Live Jazz: Onmo

/ Contemporary Jazz / Groove / Spiritual Guitarist and composer Jean de Talhouët brings immersive contemporary Jazz blending spiritual grooves, polyrhythms and modal harmony realised by a bold and spirited ensemble. Dynamic in form and mood, the music morphs from hypnotic kinetics, to uplifting aerials and brooding contemplations, inspiring movement, joy and reflection along the way. It is a wish to celebrate life itself – the vital energy that exists in all living things. Jean draws inspiration from jazz greats such as Wayne Shorter and Joe Henderson, as well as the European jazz Soper – Trumpet Jonathan Chung – Tenor Saxophone Jean de Talhouët – Guitar and Compositions Rupert Cox – Piano/Keyboards Huw V Williams – Double and Electric Bass Max Hallett – Drums. Good Evening has been collaborating with the Royal Albert to present great live music every Sunday night for over a decade. Thursday 2nd April – Vinyl Night with DJ Steve | 7–11pm Kick off the Easter weekend with as our resident DJ Steve spins an eclectic mix of classics and crowd favourites. Grab a drink, settle in, and start the long weekend the right way. Friday 3rd April –  Easter Bonnet Making Things get delightfully silly on Friday with our Adult Bonnet Making Day. Our team will be sporting their own creations all day, and we’re inviting you to join in. Wear an Easter bonnet and get a free pint on us. The best bonnet creation of the day wins a £50 bar tab. Saturday 4th April – Lego Masters: Easter Edition | 12–2pm Bring your Lego and your imagination. Build your best Easter-themed creation and show it off in our Lego Masters challenge. All ages welcome Easter egg prizes for the best builds Easter Sunday and Monday Easter is all about the roast. Expect beautifully cooked lamb, crispy potatoes, seasonal sides, and all the trimmings. Gather friends and family and settle in for the ultimate Easter feast.  And for every lamb roast served, we’ll donate £1 to Burnt Chef – a fantastic mental health charity for hospitality workers.
