Marlon Williams - 15/04/26

New Zealand’s Marlon Williams (Kāi Tahu, Ngāi Tai) possesses one of the greatest voices of his generation. His effortlessly distinctive tone and heartstring-plucking vibrato have garnered widespread love around the world. Williams draws on folk and country traditions - often compared to Leonard Cohen, Roy Orbison and Elvis Presley - but what makes him so special is his unique ability to traverse genres on both his award winning records, and in his famously captivating live shows. Marlon Williams grew up in the port town of Lyttelton, in the South Island of New Zealand. After performing with his high-school band The Unfaithful Ways and as a duo with Delaney Davidson, he launched his award-winning solo career with his 2015 debut Marlon Williams, and followed it with Make Way For Love in 2018, 2022 record My Boy and his acclaimed new album Te Whare Tīwekaweka which is the first original album written entirely in Te Reo Māori to top the NZ album charts. *By purchasing a ticket to this event you are agreeing to adhere to Islington Assembly Hall's terms and conditions: https://islingtonassemblyhall.co.uk/customer-terms-conditions-2022/* *All tickets to shows at Islington Assembly Hall are subject to a Venue Levy of £1.50 + VAT. Ego Ella May - 09/05/26

Drawing from an expansive palette of R&B, neo soul, contemporary jazz, and poetic songwriting, British-Nigerian award-winning singer-songwriter and musician Ego Ella May is creating music that resonates deeply across generations and cultures. Her work is united by her profound reverence for jazz; for Ego, it’s the “root of it all,” and a fearless commitment to emotional truth. Her genre-defying sound has cemented her as one of the most compelling voices in contemporary music. Her critically acclaimed debut album, Honey For Wounds, earned her widespread recognition, including Best Jazz Act at the 2020 MOBO Awards and Best Vocalist at the 2021 Jazz FM Awards. In 2026, Ego ushers in a new chapter with the release of her highly anticipated sophomore album, Good Intentions, arriving 20th March 2026. It’s her most daring and ambitious work to date, blending warm jazz textures, alt-soul explorations, intricate harmonies, and lyrical storytelling. Lead singles “What We Do” and “We’re Not Free” offer a glimpse into the album’s thematic richness, examining community, liberation, vulnerability, and the complicated beauty of everyday human experience.

Matteo Mancuso - ROUTE 96 - 14/05/26

Matteo Mancuso approached the world of music at an early age, thanks to his father Vincenzo. He enrolled in a musical high school where he deepened his studies in classical guitar and founded the trio “SNIPS.” In 2019, he began a collaboration with Yamaha Guitars, participating in the NAMM Show in Los Angeles, the “Young Guitar Festival” in Bangkok, and several masterclasses in Russia. In 2020, Matteo formed his new trio with Stefano India on bass and Giuseppe Bruno on drums, and began dedicating space to his compositional vein by presenting his first original tracks. This marked the beginning of his first intense live activity in Italy and Europe. In 2023, his first solo album, titled “The Journey,” was released. This work outlines his authentic, polyhedric musical nature and kicks off a new cycle of concerts. In 2025, he will embark on his first major international tour, which will continue into 2026.
