A uniquely talented Canadian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Gabriel Minnikin has been a mainstay in the Maritime music scene ever since breaking in with alt. country legends the Guthries in the 1990s. Gabriel has established himself as an in-demand artist not only in his own right but playing with the likes of Blue Rodeo, Bahamas, Gordie Sampson, Buck65, Kinley Dowling, KD Lang and Diana Jones. Sometimes he channels Beck at his most playful, at others he’s flamboyantly theatrical, at others he’s more at home in blue-eyed country soul mode but whatever his momentary persuation Minnikin is an engaging and entertaining performer with tunes to spare. “”Exceptional.
