Philadelphian psychonaught, JEFFREY ALEXANDER may very well be one of the most quietly prolific figures in modern psychedelic music. Since the 90’s in bands such Iditarod, Black Forest/Black Sea, Dire Wolves and now THE HEAVY LIDDERS he has fearlessly explored the outer and inner realms of psych. In his new group The Heavy Lidders Jeffrey and the band take inspiration from folk, jazz and rock in a playful and exploratory way creating music which has drive and groove but plenty of space for improvisation. “Quietly transcendent, deep and cosmically curious” – Psychedelic Scene ‘Jammed-up improvisations that have substance as well as sense and sensibility.
