Willow Leaping or Dancing Hare Workshop

Come and join Rich Love in weaving willow into an amazing animal sculpture. No experience is necessary as tuition will be provided – learn a new skill and take home your own sculptured leaping or dancing hare. Discover Downham's April Talk - "Bedrooms, Banquets and Balls"

An amusing and off-beat look at the English Country House, taking in their architecture, their fashions and their furnishings, and the many ways in which the rooms were repurposed over the years. The talk also looks at the even more eccentric owners of these properties, how their individual tastes shaped the design of the house transforming them into the delights we see today. The plights of exploding cakes, tight mattresses and even exotic Princes will all be revealed in this talk by John Vigar. Everyone is welcome – no booking is required. £5 entry or £4 if you are a DMDHS Member Tea and Coffee available afterwards at the centre. All Welcome!

Life Drawing Workshop

Join us for an inspiring and supportive day of life drawing led by local artist Richard Burton. Richard studied at The Slade School of Fine Art and the Royal College of Art and now teaches at the Royal Drawing School. There will be two models (one male and one female) and personal feedback will be given by Richard. All equipment is provided but you will have to supply your own lunch.
