Mini Museum Explorers: Mini Zulu Warriors

Designed for under 5s and their parents, grandparents, and carers, each session delves into a different part of the Museum’s collections through a blend of play, stories, trails, crafts, and science activities. These sessions encourage development, communication, and curiosity about the Royal Engineers and the world around us. Held on the second Tuesday of each month (Term Time) from 10am-11am. £4 per session per child (discounts with a Snob loyalty card); free for military families. Normal museum admission prices also apply. Please book in advance – sessions are limited to 20 under 5’s. Book here: https://re-museum.digitickets.co.uk/event-tickets/35904?catID=35959& Tuesday 13th October – Mini Zulu Warriors Mini Museum Explorers will travel back in time to discover the fascinating world of Zulu warriors, who were traditionally organised into regiments by age. Children will get up close to beautiful Zulu artefacts on display, including some safe items they can touch and explore with their hands. Inspired by these striking designs, Minis will become little Zulu warriors themselves, creating their own colourful jewellery, beaded necklaces, and headdresses using fun, safe materials. Along the way, they’ll enjoy stories about Zulu life and traditions, try on their creations, and parade around like warriors, celebrating creativity, movement, and imaginative play.
