Club Week 2026 - entry for racing

Traditionally the highlight of the Racing and Social year, come along and join in the fun on the water. There will be racing from Monday 10th August to Saturday 15th August. There will be the following classes: Fast Handicap, Medium Handicap, Fireballs, Wayfarers, Lasers, Sprites, Mirrors, Short Course (including Topper/Tera/Fevas), Cruisers (Club and Fast) and Optimists. Some classes will be consolidated into the same start time. Each class will have a duty day, where competitors will be asked to complete a duty - please could you indicate on the registration form which duty you could do (select all that apply) and what days you are available. The week can only run successfully if everyone helps. The duty days shown are provisional and may be changed if entry numbers are different from what we are expecting. Please do register in advance as it helps us to plan and helps the Class Captains to know who is available to help with duties. It will also help if you can join the relevant BSC Whats App group if you are not already on there, since that is where duties are discussed and planned. All the Whats App groups can be found in the BSC community. This event just refers to the Reid Scott. Please register separately for the Beastie Tour. Reid Scott is a series of races held over two days. We plan to run at least two races each day. It is open to Cadets and Junior members: All entrants need to be at least 8 years old, and less than 25 years old on 31st August 2026. All those who wish to enter must be confident river sailors with their own boats (For BSC sailors this means you were in Tango or MG training groups at cadet week 2026, or have reached this level if you are now a young member or ex cadet). We anticipate that there will be the following classes: Optimists Topper / RS Tera RS Feva ILCA / Laser (all rigs) 420 / General handicap Subject to demand and the availability of coaches, we may run separate coached regatta fleets in the Optimist and Topper / RS Tera fleets, and/or provide on-the-water coaching in both regatta and main fleets. As always, we need adults to help this event run smoothly. We need people to help launch and recover boats, a bridge team, and crews for the safety boats. Entry fee for Visitors: £22 per boat.
