Children's crochet: make a wind spinner and flower: Wednesday 8th July

Children's crochet Hosts: Val Riddiough and Shirley Mawhinney Time: 2pm - 4pm Price: £15 This workshop is for children who are aged 8+. Crochet requires a level of dexterity in their fingers that usually hasn't formed before age 8. We want children to have the best experience and not be put off learning this skill. This class is for children who are beginners to crochet and for those who can already crochet. They will be taught how to make a wind spinner and/or a flower. We will adapt the style to suit their ability so everyone will go home with something that they display indoors or outdoors. They will learn skills which will help them to never be bored in their summer holiday. Examples of wind spinners and flowers will be displayed for inspiration. All materials will be provided at the class. If your child already has crochet hooks and yarn please feel free to bring them along. What We Need From You: Your name, email address and telephone number, your child's name. Please also make us aware of any disabilities, special requirements or anything you need us to be mindful of when teaching your child. You can do this by sending us an email at Children should be accompanied to this workshop by an adult. Adults are expected to stay for the duration of the class. A comfortable seating area is available along with complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits.

Fused glass workshop Host: Pauline Graham Time: 9.30am - 12.30pm Price: £40 In this workshop you will be taken through the steps to create your own fused glass hanging cityscape, garden or underwater scene panel. You will design your own image, learn to score, cut and grind glass pieces and apply enamel paint. Your panel will be ready for collection from The Crafty Coo within one week. Everything you need is provided, including optional cutting gloves and protective eyewear. Please also adhere to our “no open footwear” safety policy. This workshop will take place in our workshop on the first floor which is only accessible via stairs. What We Need From You: Your name, email address and telephone number. Please also make us aware of any disabilities, special requirements or anything you need us to be mindful of, we want to ensure you have the best experience possible. You can do this by sending us an email at Complimentary tea and coffee and snacks are provided. You are also welcome to bring your own food and drinks to this workshop.
