Adult crochet workshop (Granny Squares) Host: Shirley Mawhinney Time: 1pm -4.30pm Price: £20 (all materials are provided) In this workshop you will learn how to make 'granny squares'. You will be taught basic crochet stitches such as double crochet, half treble crochet, treble crochet. You will also learn how to read basic patterns. During this workshop we will talk about different yarns and how to make colour changes. You will be guided to make a granny square to suit your skill level. This workshop is taught right handed. This workshop is also an opportunity to meet and socialise with other beginners. Tea, coffee and snacks are provided, you are also welcome to bring your own refreshments. All materials for this workshop will be provided, however if you have your own crochet hooks, you are more than welcome to bring them along. Children's crochet: make a wind spinner and flower: Wednesday 8th July

Children's crochet Hosts: Val Riddiough and Shirley Mawhinney Time: 2pm - 4pm Price: £15 This workshop is for children who are aged 8+. Crochet requires a level of dexterity in their fingers that usually hasn't formed before age 8. We want children to have the best experience and not be put off learning this skill. This class is for children who are beginners to crochet and for those who can already crochet. They will be taught how to make a wind spinner and/or a flower. We will adapt the style to suit their ability so everyone will go home with something that they display indoors or outdoors. They will learn skills which will help them to never be bored in their summer holiday. Examples of wind spinners and flowers will be displayed for inspiration. All materials will be provided at the class. If your child already has crochet hooks and yarn please feel free to bring them along. What We Need From You: Your name, email address and telephone number, your child's name. All materials are provided, however if your child already has crochet hooks and yarn please feel free to bring them along. Children's pottery class Hosts: Adrienne McKenzie Time: 11am - 1pm Price: £20 per child Come and have fun while you make your own ceramic creation.  Children will learn how to make pinch pots, add features and textures and score and slip. After making your animal, you can glaze it with underglaze.  We will dry and fire your animal in the kiln and then clear glaze it and refire.  Your animal will be ready to collect in approximately three weeks from date of class.  We will notify you when it's ready for collection. All materials are provided What We Need From You: Your name, email address and telephone number, your child's name.  Please also make us aware of any disabilities, special requirements or anything you need us to be mindful of when teaching your child.
