Radical Motion: Closing Party

Radical Motion is a new disability-dance festival for Folkestone, hosted by Confidance. Our festival ends with a closing party in The Clearing, in collaboration with Bubble Club. Bubble Club have been co-creating inclusive club nights in London for over 20 years. For one night only, we will be joined by two top-class DJs with learning disabilities: DJ4Blue and DJ Lolz. You can expect banging music and a creative vibe – the perfect way to celebrate a weekend of inclusive dance! This event is for people with and without learning disabilities andor neurodivergence. All Radical Motion events are opportunities for community creativity and connection. DJs will perform from 8pm until 10.00pm in The Clearing. Get your ticket for just £5, when purchased with a ticket to our Saturday night Double Bill performance from ConfiCo and Mind the Gap. Coming with support? Carers go free – simply add a ticket to your basket when booking your concession ticket. Access – and what to expect: This event has been designed for people with learning disabilities who are looking for a quality night-out experience. You can expect: • Low-level lighting (no strobe or haze) • loud music that you would expect from a night-out! Wearing of ear defenders is welcome, and you can find a quieter space in the Auditorium.

We are delighted to invite you to the first official announcement of the programme for Folkestone Book Festival 2026. Hosted by Sophie Haydock, Curator: Books, Ideas & Community, alongside special guests, this is your chance to hear first-hand, who will be speaking at this year’s festival, the themes to be explored and what to expect from another sensational book festival. Folkestone Book Festival is one of the UK's longest running literary events and continues to bring big ideas to Folkestone. The Prophets of Pop – Charity Gig

Local lads The Prophets of Pop return for a one-off show to raise funds for Harry’s Village. A staple of the local music scene and beyond this Folkestone five-piece blend of original rock and pop will take you back to the 90s in pop perfection! This charity music event supports Harry’s Village, a community effort raising funds for Harry and his family. After a severe spinal injury at school two years ago, Harry is still recovering with very limited movement and requires constant care, along with ongoing physiotherapy and treatment. Adventure with us into the weird and wonderful realm of nonsense poetry! Using Lewis Carrol's "Jabberwocky" to start, we will create entire worlds with our imaginations, words and team work. Whether you fancy having a go at writing a nonsense poem yourself, painting an enchanted forest, or puppeteering and acting to become the very fearsome creatures themselves, we can't wait to welcome you, discoverers! "Oh frabjous day! Calooh Callay!" This is a drop-in session, anytime between 11am - 2pm

Led by the charming and passionate Mrs H, the Sing-along Band bring their unique family music to Folkestone with a line-up of musicians including members of Red Snapper, Beth Orton and The Leisure Society. Their aim is to provide quality music for children that adults will love too. The Orb ft. Lee Harris & Dom Beken

The Orb ft Lee Harris / Dom Beken (Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets) present Metallic Spheres. A world premiere brought to you by Floyd in Folkestone 2026. “On The Run - The Floyd Collective”, founders and curators of the annual "Floyd in Folkestone” Festival, have announced an extraordinary Opening Night for their 2026 programme, with Lee Harris and Dom Beken of Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets joining The Orb to perform Metallic Spheres LIVE - for the first time ever on Friday 28 August 2026. Originally released in 2010 with a second chapter released in 2024, Metallic Spheres was a landmark collaboration between The Orb and David Gilmour, blending ambient electronics with the unmistakable tones and textures of this legendary guitarist. Until now, the album has never been performed live in full. For this world-first performance, The Orb will be joined by Lee Harris (guitarist and co-founder of Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets) and Dom Beken (BAFTA nominated composer, multi-instrumentalist, Saucers’ keyboardist and former Orb member), creating a powerful bridge between Floyd’s psychedelic heritage and The Orb’s pioneering electronic soundscapes. The performance will open Floyd in Folkestone 2026, setting the tone for the world’s only annual festival that celebrates the legacy and alumni of this iconic band. This unique live debut promises a deeply immersive, cinematic and emotional experience - one that fans of Floyd, The Orb and experimental rock will not want to miss.

Tontine Folk Festival

Tontine Folk Festival is here to celebrate the generations of folk music that defined our listening whilst curating a new wave of artists who will go on to do great things! This festival will be hosted in the gorgeous seaside town of Folkestone by the harbour! Over 30 acts will perform across 4 stages all on Tontine street. At 6pm all stages will close except for the Quarterhouse where the final acts will perform to everyone. This will be Amelia Coburn, Martin Simpson and to finish with it’ll be Jon Boden of Bellowhead. Tickets are expected to go fast for this event so get them while you still can!
