Senior Youth Summer Workshop

The town's most established Summer Workshop returns for budding young stars aged 15 - 23 years old to show off their talents in a full-blown, West End style, musical production! Limited to just 20 places, the participants will enjoy TWO WEEKS working with a PROFESSIONAL CREATIVE TEAM, developing performance skills, as well as working across all areas involved in theatre and media production. Most importantly, it's the PERFECT OPPORTUNITY to get creative, expressive and have lots of fun! Regardless of any previous experience, this is an ABSOLUTE MUST for those interested in the creative arts.

Jacqueline Wilson from Blaze Music Youth Theatre returns to the Riverhead to run our wildly popular Junior Youth Summer Workshops to keep young creative minds busy this holiday season. Week 1 for 7-10 year olds will be based on the story of The Greatest Showman. Each week, the students are required from 10am - 3pm, Monday to Friday, during which time they will work towards a showcase to parents on the Friday afternoon. Naughty Numbers

Louth Playgoers annual Summer show is back...and this year marks concert number 10! Over the course of 9 previous summer concerts we've had the pleasure to perform almost 300 songs from a wide scope of musicals and movie repertoires...but there are some truly iconic numbers we've not yet been able to put our spin on. Songs that perhaps are a little bit...naughty! This year LPS are proud to bring you "Naughty Numbers" - a selection of fantastic, funny and fiery songs from the shows and beyond that you will not previously have heard on The Riverhead Theatre stage. Expect classic anthems from 'Book Of Mormon" to "Avenue Q, "Jerry Springer" to "Spamelot," "Hamilton" to "Heathers." And many, many more! There really is something for everyone to discover in this two hour extravaganza! LPS Summer concerts always sellout quickly so book your seats early to avoid disappointment.

The Phantom Raspberry Blower of Old London Town

Something is rotten in Old London Town… In Victorian England, a rotten, raspberry blower is claiming the lives of the upper-classes. The dark alleyways and moonlit graveyards of London are alive with the repetitive dins of the Phantom. Inspector Corner of the Yard and his faithful sidekick, Sergeant Bowles, are fed up with these din-dins. The case is afoot. Will the Phantom be uncloaked? All will be revealed… particularly if the Phantom uncloaks himself. Immortalised by The Two Ronnies, this Jack the Ripper parody is raspberry-jam-packed with Spike Milligan’s and Ronnie Barker’s love of surreal absurdism, clever puns, near-the-knuckle ribaldry, quick-fire jokes and famous wordplay. Celebrating the 50th anniversary since its original broadcast in 1976, this newly adapted stage play brings the Phantom back to life like never before.
