It involves strengthening of the core with alignment, breathing, coordination and balance. The Pilates method strengthens lengthens and rebalances the body to work as optimally as possible. About the Facilitator: Tonde Moyo My journey with the body began in my twenties with martial arts, which I currently teach to adults and children. I continued my development with the study of massage, gym instruction and sports therapy. During a period of injury I began Pilates classes. I enjoyed it so much that I enrolled on a course to become a Pilates instructor. 6 years later, I still find joy in teaching and self practice. Suggested donations: This event is on a suggested donation sliding scale.

Regenerative Practice In Community Gardens (Course)

When: This course comprises 6 sessions on Wednesday mornings from 10:30 – 13:30 in January and February. January 21st January 28th February 4th February 11th February 18th February 25th About the Course: Join us for six winter mornings at the cosy Salisbury Centre where we’ll slow down, listen, and learn on this 6-week journey for community gardeners to grow their skills, share their wisdom, and deepen their roots together. We believe the most powerful knowledge grows from the ground up, rooted in the shared experiences of those who do it every day. This unique six-week course is designed to strengthen the heart of your work through a collaborative learning experience. You’ll be invited to share stories, tackle challenges, and co-create best practices for leadership, participation, and connection in community green spaces. What to Expect: Each session is built around the group’s real-world experiences, questions, and knowledge. Your insights drive our exploration. We’ll apply ecological principles not only to the soil but to our groups and ourselves. Meet others who are passionate about community gardens—from seasoned organizers to budding volunteers—all committed to growing together. Blend hands-on wisdom with thoughtful dialogue. Leave with actionable ideas and a refreshed perspective. While most of the course will take place inside, we may also venture into the Salisbury Centre’s own Permaculture Community Garden to gain inspiration and get outdoors.

Life Energy & Wholeness: Reconnecting with the Human System

About the Event Have you lost your excitement for life — when days begin to feel the same, with low mood, low energy, and a constantly busy mind? Perhaps you want to understand why you feel this way — and what can be done to change it. This talk offers a clear introduction to the Holistic Approach and is open to the general public. You don’t need any prior knowledge or experience. In this talk, we explore the role of life energy and why wholeness is essential for wellbeing. We look at how the human system functions as an interconnected whole — body, emotions, and mind — and how imbalance and fragmentation arise in modern life. About the Facilitator Led by Maija Kovalevska, holistic educator and speaker, and founder of Grounded Energies. With many years of experience working with wellbeing, self-awareness, and energy in everyday life, Maija offers an accessible and practical perspective on how the human system functions as a whole. groundedenergies.com phone Accessibility The Library is wheelchair accessible.
