Swingin’ at the Movies Join Dr Jazz and the Cheshire Cats big band for an evening of movie magic as we head back to the heyday of the Plaza with themes and songs made famous on the silver screen. Including classics from the Cotton Club, James Bond and the Pink Panther, as well as more recent favourites from Austin Powers, When Harry Met Sally and the Incredibles. With two fantastic vocalists there’ll be hits from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald and Judy Garland, bringing back the sounds of the Golden Age of Hollywood. Explore a range of buttercream techniques, from creating smooth, sharp edges to elegant piping and drip designs. With expert guidance throughout, you’ll have the freedom to add your own creative flair — designing a cake that’s uniquely yours. Skills you will learn: Learn to stack, dowel and prepare a pre-made cake ready for decorating. Buttercream Icing for a professional smooth finish. Creating the perfect drip in your choice of colour. Buttercream decorating skills – flowers and swirls. Victoria will show you piping techniques to create different shapes, you choose which to put onto your cake. You’ll leave with a beautifully finished cake – please bring a sturdy bag or box for transport.
