Open Silent Meditation

The Salisbury Centre is offering a welcoming space for silent community meditation every weekday In the morning at 8:00 – 8:30 am, and In the afternoon at 5:30 – 6:00 pm. Additionally, there is a meditation every Friday 12:00-12:45 pm. These meditations are non-denominational and accessible to all; no experience is needed. The form is 30 minutes of silence, sometimes started with a dedication or invocation. You may sit in any way you find comfortable. A selection of chairs, cushions, stools and even blankets are provided. Practicalities These are 30-minute sessions of silent contemplation (except for Friday 12pm one, which is 45 mins), run by volunteers. Whilst these meditations are not guided as such, feel free to ask if you have any questions or concerns before or after the meditation. Everybody is welcome to just drop in, no need to book ahead. Donations toward the upkeep of the Centre are very welcome but not necessary. Golf Cart Tours

The Golf Cart Tour is our most in-depth and intimate tour of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway grounds, showcasing restricted backstage areas, the 2.5-mile oval*, and all major IMS landmarks. This 90-minute driving tour is a uniquely personalized experience, featuring one-on-one conversation with only our most knowledgeable tour guides. Tours depart at 9:30 a.m., 12 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. Our Golf Cart Tour will take you behind the scenes to the Pagoda, Gasoline Alley, Victory Podium, the Snake Pit, and more. On days that the track is not in use, the tour also includes a lap around the legendary IMS oval with a stop at the start/finish line to kiss the bricks. Please note that the Speedway is an active racetrack and availability of the oval and “Yard of Bricks” is not guaranteed on the tour. Golf Cart Tours are available on select dates from April through October. *Note: If a Golf Cart tour is being offered the same day as the Victory Podium tours, that means a lap of the oval is NOT included due to track use.
