In this workshop we will be embroidering a potting shed and it’s surrounds- think pots, seed packets, watering cans, spades, trowels, water butts, wellingtons, pretty hanging baskets, trugs and maybe the odd hen etc! During the day we will work on some of these elements and I will show you some stitches suitable for these. I will make up kits which will include two projects. The first will be a sampler with six pictures to embroider during the day. I will give you a notebook and fabric for the cover so that you can make yourself a garden journal. The second project will be a larger embroidery (fabric included) incorporating a potting shed design and templates for you to copy and embroider onto it. This time I am not including any threads in the kits so please bring your own. I suggest stranded and Perle threads of various weights and in a variety of shades. However if you are not sure about threads I will be bringing lots of threads and you are very welcome to try them out during the day, before you buy any more. Kits are £10 payable to me on the day
