Open Mondays are back at the Salisbury Centre From 16th March! Check Eventbrite to ensure any specific Monday is on. The Open Monday Eventbrite page (Here) will be kept updated in case any Monday cannot be “Open” So please check (and book a free place) in advance of coming About the Open Mondays Open Mondays are quiet, welcoming times when the Salisbury Centre is simply open — for people to arrive without an event, a ticket, or an agenda. To use the Library, spend time in the Garden, read, reflect, or just be. Each Monday, 10:30 – 14:30, The Salisbury Centre doors are open for you to come and enjoy. Please note: this isn’t a structured event, but simply an opportunity to do your own thing in the space of the Salisbury Centre. There will be a volunteer on the day who will welcome and show you around, as well as point out places where you can find out more information about our events and offerings. Book your free place here. Open Silent Meditation

The Salisbury Centre is offering a welcoming space for silent community meditation every weekday In the morning at 8:00 – 8:30 am, and In the afternoon at 5:30 – 6:00 pm. Additionally, there is a meditation every Friday 12:00-12:45 pm. These meditations are non-denominational and accessible to all; no experience is needed. The form is 30 minutes of silence, sometimes started with a dedication or invocation. You may sit in any way you find comfortable. A selection of chairs, cushions, stools and even blankets are provided. Practicalities These are 30-minute sessions of silent contemplation (except for Friday 12pm one, which is 45 mins), run by volunteers. Whilst these meditations are not guided as such, feel free to ask if you have any questions or concerns before or after the meditation. Everybody is welcome to just drop in, no need to book ahead. To read more about the importance of meditation at The Salisbury Centre, go here. Please arrive 5 minutes before the start. Cushions and blankets provided. Donations toward the upkeep of the Centre are very welcome but not necessary. Dates First Wednesday of the month: 4th March, 1st April, 6th May 2026, 4th June (Thursday), 1st July, 5th August 2026 18:00 – 21:00 Event info When: monthly on Tuesdays, 6 – 9 pm. Check Eventbrite or The Salisbury Centre website for details. How to attend: please book via Eventbrite here. I can’t guarantee there will be a space for you if you just show up on the day. If the event is booked out, join the waiting list and you’ll be notified when a spot becomes available. The group is open to everyone, both regular members and one-off visitors. If you have a question, email Chris at Room: Art Room, occasionally in the Studio. Suggested donation: £10 – £20. Please refer to the “note on donations” below before you decide on your contribution. Accessibility: Art Room is located on the ground floor, and it is fully accessible. The Studio is not fully accessible. The Salisbury Centre’s kitchen door and toilet are now wheelchair accessible. The Garden can also be accessed by wheelchairs via a movable ramp via the Art Room Annex. Refunds: Automatic refunds will be issued up to 3 days before the event. After that, I can’t issue refunds.
