Celtic charm and edge ,together with soft harmonies create an Americana/Celtic/Roots fusion. Based in Co. Wexford, Ireland, The Sweet Sorrows are veteran Irish singer-songwriter Sammy Horner and his Australian wife Kylie. They globally tour their acoustic/folk/Americana music delighting audiences with their humour and vocal harmonies. Sammy’s guitar and bodhran is matched by Kylie’s whistles, accordion and melodica. An evening with The Sweet Sorrows always promises to be highly entertaining, provocative and moving. Best known for his work with Leeds based legend Mik Artistik, and acoustic roots band Colour Of Light, Jonny Flockton has carved a path on the guitar as an individual voice. Iggy Pop is a fan, describing Jonny on B.B.C. 6 Music as “ Unique and Learned”. Jonny will be performing work from his upcoming solo release, entitled “Factories” inspired by the ambient music of artists such as Brian Eno, guitar icon Derek Bailey, and pianist Matthew Bourne. Rush Hour Jazz - Will Osborne

Trombonist Will Osborne will plays calypso rumba, choro, mento, beguine and merengue- and jazz! Will Osborne is a consumate trombonist – not just in playing jazz and big band music but also calypso rumba, choro, mento, beguine and merengue. He co leads the popular Big Bamboo with an acoustic and improvised style reminiscent of New Orleans jazz. He is passionate about early calypso and beguine. With Rush Hour Jazz he’ll be playing some of his more jazzy side accompanied by the JazzLeeds trio.
