Summer Market in Wickham Market with a Chilled Vibe The village of Wickham Market is only 20 minutes from the Suffolk coast and five miles from both Woodbridge and Framlingham. It’s a lively village with a strong community spirit, known for its large seasonal markets, popular independent shops, a recently restored pub, and cafes. Wickham Market’s Summer Market on Saturday 20th June, 9am-2 pm, will host 40 artisan makers, producers, growers, and community groups, and visitors will be able to browse a wide range of textiles, jewellery, gifts, homeware, books, vegetables, and flowers. Food and drink stalls will include Mikey & Jordy’s Ice Cream van, serving a selection of frozen treats, Woodlands Gourmet Fudge, Burt’s Bakes and the Waffle Wagon. Quaynotes, a local folk trio that performs a gentle blend of songs and traditional melodies, will take part in the event. They have a particular fondness for sea shanties and frequently appear at maritime festivals. Free shopping bags for visitors will be available to encourage the reduction of single-use plastics at the Summer Market. Wickham Market Parish Council warmly invites visitors, holidaymakers, and villagers to enjoy this special event.
