There are national events and local events, and of course those more personal events that are particularly significant to us. This month celebrates Windrush Day, a national event important to many in our local community, and throughout the year there are more occasions, anniversaries and celebrations. Sometimes, though, it may be just a one-off local event that you remember in particular. Maybe a royal visit, or a visit of a national celebrity, Spurs winning the double (or anything really!), the Olympics, a street party. But there are also those individual events that we never forget: weddings, births, first day at school, first day at work, first wage packet, favourite book, perhaps even something that changed the direction of our life. Dig into your photo albums and bring along pictures of your memorable events and tell us why they were so important to you. Come to the museum and share your memories over a cup of tea.
