Wharfs and Watery Stories: A River Lea Walk Image Annabel Mon, 05/18/2026 - 14:30 Thursday 4 June 2026, 11.00am to 1.00pm Free, all welcome. Booking essential. Join your guide local historian Oona Kelly as she leads you along the towpath and environs of the River Lea in Tottenham. The walk will take you from Tottenham Hale down towards Springfield Park (Hackney). Along the way you will discover the remarkable history of the River Lea and the vital role it played in the development of Tottenham, its industries, transport and the people who lived there. Book your free ticket for this walking tour via Eventbrite. Please meet Oona at 10.45am for 11am start outside Tottenham Hale Station, N17 9LR. Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate shoes for walking. This is a free walk, however if you would like to give a donation on the day to Oona then it will be gratefully received.
