Peter our IT Buddy can give free help and advice with your IT problems, including obtaining and renewing a Blue Badge, Buss Pass or driving licence, how to use social media and email and look up a wide variety of topics on the internet. Bring your mobile phone or tablet (iPad) along for help but you must ring to make an appointment between 10am and 3pm. Graham, our other IT Buddy, can give similar help on alternate Wednesday afternoons.

The Scrabble Club meets on Friday afternoons from 1.30-3.30pm. It’s a friendly group of average abilities who just like to play Scrabble. All welcome!

Saturday Art Group

There’s an Art Group at the library on Saturday mornings from 10am – 12noon. Bring your own materials – people of all abilities are welcome. There’s no teaching involved, just come along and draw or paint in good company. This is a free group but donations to help our running costs are always welcome.

Saturday Mah Jong Club

The Mah Jong Club meets on Tuesdays from 1.30 – 3.30pm and on Saturdays at 10.15am – 12.15pm. We also hold beginners classes from time to time. If you’d like to learn to play just let us know.

On Saturday mornings there is a drop-in Lego Club for 5-12 year olds, from 10.30am – 12 noon. Because of its popularity during the holidays we’ve decided to make it a permanent event in the library.

Reiki with Sue

Reiki with Sue is on Mondays in the library, term-time only, between 10am – 12pm. A donation of £2+ for a 15 minute session would be appreciated. Reiki is a type of energy healing. Reiki practitioners like our volunteer, Sue, believe that improving the flow of energy around the body can enable relaxation, relieve pain, speed healing and reduce other symptoms of illness. During a session the client will sit in a comfortable chair, in a quiet area, fully clothed.
