Family Pizza Making Experience

At Philleigh Way, we love pizza and I mean love! Making pizza is a great alternative to simply eating at a restaurant – and this course gives families an unforgettable experience. You and your family can learn how to prepare and bake a pizza – from start to delicious finish! Starting with your pizza dough, you’re able to roll and shape it – and then add the fresh tomato sauce. And of course, it would not be complete without the all authentic local ingredients that you can choose to add to your unique pizza! You finally bake your edible masterpiece in a traditional wood oven. At this point kids are covered in white flour and tomato sauce, but it’s worthwhile when you all get to enjoy your delicious Italian-style pizza together. You will each get to take home your very own handmade dough to make more pizzas at home or freeze to use another day! Course Overview Duration: 11:00am – 1:30pm (including family lunch) Tutors: Rupert Cooper – Head tutor Welcome: Meet your tutor and see for yourself the Philleigh Way farmhouse cookery school and garden. Enjoy a morning tea or coffee and juice for the children. The Day: Then we get cooking! Starting with making our own dough, shaping (throwing if you’re feeling brave!) and creating your pizza before they go in the woodfired oven. Close: Have a chat with other families on the course and members of the Philleigh Way team before a fantastic pizza lunch and well earned glass of fizz for the big kids.
