Whether you’re completely new to riding a bike or want some guided tuition to help you get back in the saddle if you’ve not cycled in a while, a trained member of the team will support you to feel confident on a bike. The sessions are also suitable for children who are riding for the first time, provided they are accompanied by an adult. Bikes and helmets are included at no extra cost, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

Workshop: Derbyshire Dye Camp - 2026 Dates

Crazy about colour? Previously attended a dyeing workshop at Peak District Yarns? Really got the dyeing bug? Come and learn advanced techniques, and hang out with Carrie in her dye studio for three full days, with an optional fourth day were you have the dye studio to yourself for self-guided learning (but Carrie will be on hand to answer any questions you have!) The content of Dye Camp is shaped around what participants wish to learn, but typically includes experimenting with a range of yarn dyeing techniques; how to get the best dyeing results from luxury yarns (yak, camel, alpaca etc); colour mixing; dyeing sock blanks; establishing a yarn dyeing business; and generally playing with colour in the Dye Studio. The total cost of the three-day Dye Camp is £495, plus £50 for the optional 'self-guided' learning day should you wish to add that on. Dye Camps typically run on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday with the optional fourth day on the Thursday, Friday or Saturday of the same week. Two Dye Camps are scheduled for 2026, but other dates can be added if there is sufficient interest. Please get in touch to discuss options. Ten skeins of yarn are included in the price of the 3-day Dye Camp, and you can purchase more during the week if you want to try other bases whilst you're here. Maximum of 3 participants per workshop. We keep class sizes very small so that there can be a lot of time for individual instruction and guidance.

If so, your tutor, Angela, is looking forward to welcoming you and sharing a fun, relaxed day to create your very own needle felt beach hut picture. During this workshop, you’ll create a charming seaside-inspired artwork featuring colourful beach huts using soft wool fibres and simple needle felting techniques. Wellness Wednesday brings you a beautiful line‑up of calming, restorative sessions … all completely free … led by three wonderful practitioners who specialise in supporting all abilities. Across the morning and afternoon, each tutor will offer a 45‑minute taster session, giving you the chance to explore what feels good for your body, your mind and your wellbeing. Your Wellness Guides Julie Soloman — holistic therapist and Dru Yoga instructor offering gentle flow, restorative movement and accessible yoga for everyone, including chair‑based options. Times: 11.30am to 12.15pm – Chair Based Exercise 2pm to 2.45pm – Beginners Yoga Angela Phillips — qualified Health Qigong® and Tai Chi instructor, guiding you through slow, mindful movement that supports balance, calm and inner focus. Chair‑based tuition also available. Times: 9:30am to 10.15am and 1pm to 1.45pm Alex — providing Sound Healing Therapy.
