TAOSOL JAM

TAOSOL is not just an artist collective; it’s a thriving community where creativity, activism, and human connection intersect. They run London’s first live and electronic fusion jam session, creating an open and inclusive space for musicians, singers, rappers, dancers, poets, and DJs of ALL genres to come together on stage and express themselves freely. The jam session is a night of electrifying freestyling and open decks for DJs who not only spin their magic but also collaborate seamlessly with artists to create spontaneous, genre blending music. Founded by LAILANA in December 2022, TAOSOL is rooted in the belief that art can unite and inspire action. The name itself is a reflection of this ethos, ‘Tao’ means “human” in Tagalog, and ‘Tawasol’ means “connection” in Arabic, symbolising the blend of her heritage and the essence of what the collective stands for: human connection and the power of collective expression through the universal language of music in all its forms. 7p to 8p open decks 8 to 11 TAOSOL Jam 11p to 12a open decks

Calais Appeal Comedy Fundraiser

Calais Appeal is raising funds with a stand-up comedy night! Join us for a night of solidarity, community and unforgettable comedy hosted by award-winning comedian Jen Nolan. Featuring a lineup of world class performers, the evening will bring together sharp humour and incisive political wit, all delivered with heart, humanity and a deep commitment to justice and collective care. Calais Appeal is a consortium of 6 grassroot organisations working in solidarity with refugees and people on the move stuck at the France-UK border, where they experience daily human rights violations and a lack of access to basic essentials. Calais Appeal’s member organisations support with food, water, firewood, tents, sleeping bags, access to information, specialist services for women and families, access to play for children, and much more. They also engage in a wide range of high impact advocacy projects, including facilitating parliamentary visits, report writing, media work and legal cases. More information on their work can be found on their social media @calaisappeal. LINEUP Jen Nolan is an up and coming working class comic out of East London. She will be bringing tales from her life growing up on the breadline with that cheeky cockney attitude. Jen was hand-picked to perform in the highly acclaimed Comedy Reserve Show for Pleasance Theatres, and performed every night at the Edinburgh Festival in 2025. Sami Abu Wardeh is a multi-award winning comedian, actor and writer.

Neghma Band - Gnawa Fusion

Neghma Band is a Moroccan collective, the soul of Gnawa music with the rhythms of Afrobeat, Blues, and Jazz. Rooted in the spiritual traditions of Morocco, their sound bridges North and Sub-Saharan Africa, creating a hypnotic groove that celebrates unity, rhythm, and cultural dialogue. Fronted by Mouad Neghma on lead vocals, guembri, and guitar, the band brings together musicians from across the African diaspora: • Tawanda Manika (Zimbabwe) – Bass • Saido (Burkina Faso) – Drums • Adam (London) – Keys Together, they weave ancient Moroccan trance with African groove and Western improvisation, creating a unique fusion that speaks to both tradition and modernity. Neghma Band’s performances are a celebration of African brotherhood — connecting hearts through rhythm, call, and response.

Jungle Cakes w/ General Levy, Ed Solo ft. Killa P, Deekline

Jungle Cakes returns to south-east London: Heavyweight bass pressure all night long. Few people have contributed as much to the urban music scene in the UK as General Levy. He grew up around West Indian Asian and African communities, and this always inspired his musical tastes. Reggae and black culture came to define what he did and the sets he played, as did soul and ska, hip hop and calypso as well as many more different sounds. Even at the age of just 14, Levy was forming sound system crews and was putting on parties around the capital. Before long some studios came calling and his career really took off. Since then, he has become one of the most in demand MCs of his generation and has put out singles like ‘Tell Me Why’ and ‘You Can’t Hurry Love’ as well as working on independent reggae labels like Fashion Records. He managed to clock up a mainstream hit with Renk Records in cahoots with M Beat on the single ‘Incredible’ in 1994, as well as causing something of a stir on the underground scene. A debut album came in 1992, entitled Double Trouble, and work on labels like Justice Records, gold awards for his MCing and recognition for his fine body of recorded work all ensued.

General Levy remains a Lionheart artist riding through the ups and downs of the music business and still maintaining focus, a love and joy for the business and people; and just like a fine wine getting even better with time and bringing the fire to any place he performs at! Ed Solo A highly respected DJ and producer in the drum and bass and breakbeat scenes, renowned for his signature fusion of heavy basslines, sharp drum programming, and reggae influences. Emerging in the late 1990s, Ed Solo became known for his collaborations with artists like DJ Brockie, Deekline, and Skool of Thought, producing iconic tracks such as Represent and No No No. Deekline Deekline is that rare figure in dance music, the seminal producer who balances the cutting edge and the mainstream with effortless flair.

Kush Abakush

After a hiatus of over a decade, Abakush is back. Back with a new look, new brand, new tunes, renewed energy, but still carrying the same powerful message. This predominantly female 9-piece group from Brixton was formed in 1981 by a group of like- minded individuals. They originally performed as Abacus, which evolved into Abakush and now Kush Abakush – ‘Abba’ of Aramaic origin – the common word for father in modern Hebrew and ‘Kush’ representing the Motherland. Whilst Abakush is widely considered a reggae group, they incorporate elements of Jazz, Soca and Gospel into their sound.

Mungo's HiFi - London - Day & Night Summer Session

This summer, we bring a heavyweight session to South London for the Mungo’s HiFi Day & Night Festival. Join us at the legendary Fox & Firkin for a special 11-hour journey through sound system culture. We kick things off out in the yard, with the outdoor rig running heavy through the afternoon alongside proper food and drinks to fuel the long dance. When the sun drops, the pressure moves inside to the main room, trading the open air for low ceilings and raw, low-end intensity. The Glasgow champions remain at the global forefront of the movement, pushing an undeniably heavy and fiercely uplifting sonic agenda.
