Bonfire Night

Follow the spectacular Torchlit Parade from Dornoch Square to the Meadows for our annual Bonfire Night celebration! 6:30pm – Torches available to buy in the Square 7pm – Parade begins along Castle Street towards Meadows Park 7:30pm (approx) – Fireworks display (quiet fireworks will be used, but please – no pets) There’ll also be Herchers’ Amusements, a burger van, plus a sparkler stand. See you there!

New Year Hogmanay Celebrations

Welcome in the New Year in Dornoch! Join us for the annual Hogmanay Street Party! For years people have flocked from all over to experience a true Scottish Hogmanay in Dornoch, and we can’t wait to bring it to you again! The usual running order on the night is – 10pm – 11:55pm – Live music in the Square 11:55pm – The Lone Piper on the battlements of Dornoch Castle Hotel brings in the New Year! Midnight – The Fireworks! Midnight – 1:30am – Live music in the Square (and dancing!) resumes. Keep the cold Scottish air at bay with some great food and fantastic music at the street party. When the bells ring out at midnight, don’t forget to belt out Auld Lang Syne! We’ll also be selling raffle tickets with some fabulous prizes, if you don’t want to wait that long you can purchase them online closer to the time. Please help us light up the streets. The Dornoch Hogmanay Street Party is funded on donations and fundraising alone. Your contribution can go a long way in making sure the party continues next year. If you would like to donate, you can do so at our Just Giving page. Hogmanay in Dornoch isn’t just centred around our Street Party; throughout the weekend there’ll be events at Dornoch Cathedral, Hogmanay dinners, first footing breakfasts, the Loony Dook, New Year’s lunch and much more. Make sure to check out the programme above to see what we have to offer. The Annual Loony Dook at Dornoch Beach will be held on 1st January with times to be arranged closer to the date.
