Paint The Landscape Wed

Landscape in watercolours If you have enjoyed one of Karen’s regular watercolour Wednesday classes and want to build on your skills learned in our 1pm session. Join local artist Karen Buckels to learn techniques for painting landscapes using watercolour paint. You will need to have previously attended one of Karen’s classes where the technique of watercolour is taught, if you haven’t please book on the 1pm class first. If you have your own watercolour materials please do bring them along. Please note that if you wish to use our Tearoom after the workshop you must book via our website as we cannot guarantee availability. We work hard to price our workshops fairly and offer good value for money. We therefore have a clear non-refundable & no transfer policy to ensure that we cover our costs and protect the ongoing viability of the workshop. We do appreciate that sometimes unforeseen circumstances may mean that you can’t attend a workshop and we are happy for you to send along a friend to take your place, we will need their name and contact details prior to the workshop.

Flower Face Vase Thurs

This popular workshop is back just in time for your summer blooms. Our Pottery Teacher Vikki, will guide you through how to build the basic two parts and join them securely and then you’ll have time on the fun decorating when you can add texture and cut outs to create your own individual piece. Once dried and fired, you can return at a later date to suit you to glaze. Please note we cannot refund or transfer your bought places unless they can be refilled. Dippy Desmond Donkey Watercolour Workshop Sat

This cheeky donkey is such fun to paint in lovely loose watercolours! Join Helen Worthington from Evendawn Arts where you will be guided on how to choose and apply watercolour colours to a ready drawn-out donkey outline – so, no need to worry about drawing anything! There will be a chance to practice first, and Helen will give you full tuition on the different ways of painting with watercolour, so that you can successfully complete your own ‘Dippy Donkey’ painting Please ensure you bring something suitable to carry your work home in – an A4 folder or envelope will be fine. Full tuition will be given to everyone during the class, so beginners are welcome. This is also suitable for those with some experience, or who have been on Helen’s classes before. Modern Calligraphy is fun to learn and relaxing to practice. Join us at Eden Tearoom and Galleries in Newburgh, Lancashire on our Modern Calligraphy Workshop with Spring theme this New Year and start your Calligraphy journey with this mindful, creative pastime and art form. Guided by expert tutors; Lucy Mellor and Polly Mellor, you will begin by covering the fundamentals of how to hold the dip pen, learning the pressures and rhythms that give calligraphy its characteristic contrasting strokes before moving onto learning the upper and lower alphabet, how to link letters, first words and phrases. You will learn how to draw decorative illustrations and flourishes to complement your calligraphy lettering on stationery pieces.
