Our Mum and Baby Group is a women only group run by the Family Team at The Churn Community Hub. It is an informal group for young mums who would benefit from some extra support with their babies. We offer play opportunities, advice, socialising, and individual support. We also have a Community Nursery Nurse who visits once a month to provide support and a baby weighing service.

Sociable Stroll Cirencester

Our Sociable Stroll in Cirencester is a chance to walk as part of a gentle companionable group aimed at older people with good mobility. We take a different one hour walking route around Cirencester every week. Come and chat with volunteers and staff and make new friends. Well behaved dogs are very welcome! Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga at The Churn Community Hub is a gentle exercise class for older people, as part of our Ageing Well service. In Chair Yoga, we will explore various yoga practices, including chakra yoga, which involves learning poses and techniques to awaken and align the body’s energy centres, known as chakras. Chair Yoga is suitable for everyone, particularly those with restricted mobility. Upcoming sessions: £3 per session

Are you aged 18 to 25 and looking to join a friendly group to support your wellbeing and creativity? This group is all about connection, self-expression, and having fun in a relaxed and welcoming environment. You’ll meet like-minded people, build new friendships, and discover the benefits of creativity for your wellbeing. Whether you’re passionate about music, art, or crafts, we offer a wide range of activities to spark your imagination and give you the chance to learn new skills. It’s a great space to share your ideas, explore new hobbies, and nurture the talents you already have. We have partnered with charity Mindsong to provide a regular Sing 2 Remember group. Gloucestershire based Mindsong reaches people with dementia and those who are isolated through music and song. Mindsong’s singing groups inspire joy, unlock memories and enhance the quality of life for their participants and families. Positive Strides Cirencester

Positive Strides is a fortnightly walking group for men which focuses on improving mental health and wellbeing through walking and talking with others. At The Churn, we understand how important it is for men to talk openly about their mental health. Positive Strides provides a safe space where men can walk, talk and be heard by other men with shared issues and experiences. We meet on a Tuesday morning outside The Churn Community Hub. Walks start at 10am and finish around 11.30am.

Friendship Cafe ( DIGI HUB )

Sometimes life events mean that we lose the friendships and connections we have made. But staying connected with other people has a positive impact on our health. The Churn Community Hub’s vibrant Friendship Café has been established for our older residents in Cirencester. Its a place to get together socially, make new friends and have a cuppa. The Friendship Café is extremely welcoming for everyone. No need to pre-book – just come along to Ashcroft Church and see for yourself.
