Event information Decide on a theme as a group before building your own characters out of plasticine. Then bring them to life in your own handcrafted miniature film set. Take turns to develop your story by moving your characters around the set. Learn how a stop motion animation works by helping capture each still frame until your group have created a wonderful short film. Go home with a digital copy of your animated blockbuster. Henna and Hibiscus Evening

Event Information: Join us for an evening of collective healing with henna art & aromatherapy using Rose oil and Hibiscus. Roses vibrate at the highest frequency above any botanical flower - at 320mhz. Rose essential oils will be used whilst we relax and heal through some breath work and conversation Hibiscus is a rich botanical used for skin care and antioxidant properties. We shall enjoy a refreshing cup of Hearty Hibiscus cooler beneath the canopy of the garden. The henna leaf is a botanical used widely as stain on the skin. During this event fresh henna will be used to adorn the hands to create a temporary stain. Henna is traditionally used within the sub-sahara regions as an ancient body art as well as to cool the hand chakras. A beautiful evening to bring everyone together in the community holistically. Ingredients and allergen info: Sugar, Lemon juice, Henna leaf, Clover oil, Lavender oil, eucalyptus oil. About your tutor Sam Ali Sherazade Aka Sam has over 25 years of working within the field of Psychology. She is also a keen poetress and creative based between London and the West Midlands. As part of her work Sherazade also incorporates botanicals such as rose oil and pure frankincense crystals, for healing and drawing out negative residual energy. Create 98 have collaborated with Sherazade this summer to bring you Henna & Hibiscus Night. A space for energetic healing, calm and alignment.

Summer Batik Workshop- Florals

Event information Come and create a beautiful Summer-inspired Batik Art piece using traditional wax resist techniques. Judy will guide you through your floral design and making process. Take home your lovely framed artwork ready to display. All abilities welcome. The class includes a delicious homemade cake and hot drink. Previous Next About your tutor Judy Goring As far back as I can remember I have loved Art and creativity. This led to Art College, training and practising as a Graphic Designer, gaining a degree in Art History, teaching Art and Textile Arts at secondary school and becoming a Specialist Teacher for the Vision Impaired. Of course my greatest achievement has been having two wonderful children and staying happily married to my lovely hubby! For the last 20 years I have had the privilege of leading Art and Craft workshops for a variety of groups and at Create98 since 2021. My regular commitment here is to the midweek Art Hub with a great group of 11-16 year olds, but I also very much enjoy sharing my passion for all things creative with anyone keen to learn new skills and make something uniquely individual to them. The lucky part of this is that I've been able to experiment and play with a myriad of wonderful materials before teaching others how to use them! I work with all ages and my aim is to show each one how to use a variety of 2D and 3D materials and then let the creative juices flow.

Squishy workshop

Squishy Workshop In this workshop you’ll make four different types of squishies and then decorate a box to take them home in (so they don’t get lost in the bottom of a bag). You’ll learn a few simple squishy-making techniques, then personalise each one with colours, faces, patterns and little details. Once your squishies are finished, you’ll decorate your storage box so everything stays together. Age guidance Suitable for ages 10+ Younger children are welcome if they attend with an adult Please note: there will be tying knots in balloons and a couple of fiddly steps , so younger makers may need hands-on help.

Event information Do you love art at school and fancy taking your painting skills to the next level? Grab a grown up and join Finn for this special adult and child acrylic painting class. In this fun beginner's painting workshop you will learn about colour mixing, planning out your design and different techniques of applying paint. This class is open to all skill levels and ages (8+). In this session learn to paint from a Summer-Inspired Still Life set up. £25 per ticket (adult or child). Please select the correct amount of tickets e.g., 1 adult and 2 children = 3 tickets purchased. Solo children (8+) and solo adults are also welcome. This class will also include a refreshment. Clay Tiger Magnet- Inspired by K-pop Demon Hunters (8+)

Event information In this brand new clay workshop make a stylised tiger face magnet, inspired by the phenomenon K-pop Demon Hunters. Cut your design out and trace your tiger's features using a stencil before decorating with bright pottery paints to bring your creation to life! Mini Masters: Monet Waterlily Paper Art

Event information Dive into the world of art history in this special Mini Master's session inspired by Claude Monet. In this workshop, children will step into the dreamy world of Claude Monet and create their own paper waterlily masterpiece. Inspired by the soft colors and peaceful scenes of his famous garden paintings, young artists will explore how to layer shapes, textures, and colours to bring a pond to life. Along the way, they’ll learn about Monet’s love of nature and himself as one of the founders of Impressionism. By the end, each child will have a vibrant, textured artwork inspired by one of art history’s most beloved painters to take home and be proud of. Event information Create a beautiful, modern piece in this floral slab vase workshop. You’ll learn the fundamentals of slab-building, rolling, shaping, and joining clay. Roll pressed flowers and foliage into your slab, a technique that echos the delicate patterns of nature. From soft petal impressions to bold leafy shapes, your design can be as subtle or striking as you like. No prior clay experience is needed. All materials, glazing, and firing are included.
