Hauxley Nature Reserve is a 26-hectare wildlife-watching spot beside the beach, with views across the length of Druridge Bay. Good paths lead to the hides and around the reserve, and the Wildlife Discovery Centre has a café, refreshments, toilets and picnic space.
There is an accessible one-kilometre route to two accessible hides, making it easier to settle in and look for birdlife. Expect a bird's-eye view without leaving the ground.
