Drop the Mic! Special - at Leigh Folk Festival

We’re going on the road! Drop The Mic! our regular, free open mic event for young musicians from Southend and the surrounding area; is heading back to Leigh Folk Festival to host the Youth Stage on Saturday 27th June, 2026. You’ll find us in Leigh Library Gardens, behind the library building, where some of the brightest upcoming talent from Southend and the surrounding areas, will be entertaining the crowds. It’s free entry, so just head down and enjoy an afternoon of original and familiar music! Full line up announced here very soon.

Estuary Walk 2026

The Song School 10 Mile Estuary Walk takes place on Saturday 8th August. We will begin at Leigh-on-sea station, taking the coastal route all the way to East Beach, making several pit stops along the way AND including a walk up and down the pier to make it up to the 10k.
