Truth is often stranger than fiction, but turning real-life events into a novel can be trickier than it first appears. In this hour-long workshop, we’ll explore the differences between autobiographical novels and autofiction, experiment with short exercises designed to help you extract and distinguish your character from yourself, and consider some of the ethical challenges of crafting a narrative from personal experience.​​​​​​​
