Historic Vehicle Rally

Historic Vehicle Rally 2026 On Sunday 19th July 2026, Newby Hall will be surrounded by vintage and classic cars, for the North’s biggest one-day car show – the annual Historic Vehicle Rally. Please help us all to enjoy the day in a safe manner by following any instructions on site. Over 1,000 exhibitors The event, which is organised by the North of England Classics and Pre War Automobiles, attracts exhibits from all over the country. Over 1000 vehicles of all makes, from Aston Martin to Wolseley will be polished up by their proud owners and put on parade for one of the highlights of Newby’s opening season. Row upon row of gleaming cars, have proved to be a huge draw for visitors, over many years. The rally appeals to serious enthusiasts, with auto-jumble stalls to rummage in, while more casual visitors can choose a favourite classic, pose for a ‘selfie’ and imagine themselves at the wheel! We’re excited to welcome Real Markets again this year, known as Yorkshire’s Friendliest Markets. Curating high-quality food, produce, and makers’ markets across the region, they bring together some of the best Yorkshire-based traders, offering local and speciality goods.

Come and see William Shakespeare’s ‘Othello’ in our outdoor theatre performance performed by The Lord Chamberlain’s Men on Friday 14th August 2026 on the stunning West Lawn of Newby Hall & Gardens. Fireworks at Newby in 2026! Saturday 22nd August 2026 Make sure that you book your tickets for what is a truly sensational night of fireworks at Newby Hall next year. Three teams create a stunning displays choreographed to music and the audience votes for a winner on the night via SMS. To finish there is a final display by the organisers to round off what is always a fantastic night. Apple Day - Apple Throwing Championships & The World Jam Festival

Apple Day – The Apple Throwing Championships & The World Jam Festival! 2025s Winner Lucas Robinson collecting his trophy. Sunday 27th September 2026 is Apple Day at Newby Hall Central to Apple Day is the hotly contested Apple Throwing Championships where whoever throws an Apple the furthest over the River Ure wins the prestigious title and trophy!!! There will also be apple pressing demonstrations, Cider tasting, a display of the many apple varieties grown in our orchards and advice on all things fruity from our expert friends at the Northern Fruit Group. We will have performances from Harrogate Spa Uke’s from 1.30pm on the Restaurant lawn. Building on last years success NEWBY HALL WILL AGAIN BE HOSTING THE WORLD JAM FESTIVAL Do your jams, marmalades or chutneys deserve a world stage? then it is time to shine at the World Jam Festival.
