Tacla (Old Welsh – an intense silence) is an absurdly talented group, singing and playing traditional Welsh music in a unique gypsy jazz style. Irrepressible and unpredictable, they float between soaring fiddle, coaxing voices, strident guitar – and who knows what else might come out of the bag! Richard Booth, previously guitarist with Plummet Airlines, psyche band Brainiac 5, and country rockers Audio Murphy, escaped London in 2007 to seek sanctuary in Wales. There he developed his songwriting skills and teamed up with mandolinist extraordinaire, David Cornelius Eger, savant of Irish and traditional folk genres . With hints of psychedelia the experiment continues!
