A free live music concert? Come along to Canal Gardens this afternoon to enjoy the wonderful sounds of a live brass band! Kippax Band are guaranteed to be well rehearsed – they first formed in 1814! From January 2024, at their social club in the village, have been streaming live performances from themselves and amazing guest bands, live on YouTube and via Facebook, with HD cameras and sound mixed live by retired BBC sound engineers. With credentials like those, why would you miss out on soaking up the atmosphere of this amazing brass band?

Drilington Brass Band

For our last brass band concert of the summer, we are very lucky to be welcoming Drilington Brass Band who are the current Yorkshire Area (third Section) Champions! Describing themselves as a “traditional, British-style, brass band”, you can be sure that you will be entertained with a wide variety of music – something for everyone. They entertain audiences across the North of England with not just a “senior” contesting band, but also a small ensemble, and a newly reformed youth brass band. Come along, for this wonderful opportunity to listen, relax and enjoy some live music in one of Leeds’ most beautiful settings.
