Chair Yoga & Chat

At Sass, we believe wellbeing is about more than exercise. Join us for two friendly and welcoming introductions to Chair Yoga & Chat, a new class designed for adults aged 60+. Tuesday 18th and 25th August, 11am-12noon. As we age, staying active becomes increasingly important for maintaining independence, strength and confidence. But there's another piece of the puzzle that's just as important - connection. Studies have shown that loneliness and social isolation can have a significant impact on both physical and mental health. Yet many older adults tell us they simply don't have enough opportunities to meet people, build friendships and feel part of a community. Chair Yoga & Chat was created by our teacher Lindsay, to support both body and mind. The session begins with 30 minutes of gentle chair-based yoga to help improve mobility, flexibility, strength and confidence in movement, followed by 30 minutes of tea, biscuits and conversation.
