During the session, Olivia will introduce you to the basics of Eco-printing, how to prepare the fabric to dye, the best plants to use and how to identify them. There will be a chance to experiment with a variety of leaves and plants to get you feeling comfortable with the process, before creating your final uniquely printed design. All materials and equipment will be provided. Plants will be gathered locally by Olivia and pressed before the session. No experience needed, just a passion for craft! The ticket price also includes all-day garden access so you can make a day of it and take a stroll around the gardens in the afternoon (gardens close at 4pm).

Using recycled jewellery and sparkling embellishments, you'll create your own unique piece of framed jewellery art. Choose your own colours to create a Seahorse, Butterfly, Flamingo or Love Bird (or a pair in one frame!), using or adapting one of the templates provided. If you have another design in mind Rachel will guide you to create something completely your own. No experience is necessary and all materials are provided. Learn all the skills and techniques you will need to produce your own beautiful mandala in the beautiful surroundings of the Orangery. What is a Mandala? Mandala means ‘circle’ in the ancient Indian language of Sanskrit and are often geometric designs and a form of expression of the self. The action of repetitive mark-making helps participants enter a meditative state and so mandala creation is used as a tool for relaxation and meditation, improving mental health and wellbeing. Understanding the Mandala comes through creating one – you may think I can’t draw!, but this is where the magic begins… No artistic skill is required for this 3.5 hour mandala workshop takes place from 10am in the relaxing surroundings of our Orangery. Forage & Nibble

A 3-hour session with a foraging expert, including ID work, tasting wild ingredients and a wild snack at Thornbridge Hall This course is designed to get you as involved as possible - this includes identifying, picking and tasting a range of wild species that will be found on the day. There will also be samples of wild food and drink for everyone to get stuck into and a pre-made wild snack! The focus with all of our workshops is on the 4 'F's of Foraging: Fungi, Fruit, Flowers and Foliage. We aim for an array of these elements on every session we run (weather and season permitting!) What To Expect Our 'Forage & Nibble' workshops are exactly that: you will spend the day learning how to forage with your tutor and then be treated to a 'wild snack' to put it all into context! These have become our most popular events and are available at numerous locations around the country. DURATION: 3 hours (approx 2.5 hours of foraging and 30 mins preparing and eating your wild snack) We like to keep some elements a surprise for the day, but here is what you can expect from your foraging workshop: a short introduction regarding the safety and format of the day discussions around foraging tips, safety, ethics, etiquette, sustainability and the law a circular walking route taking in different growing environments around the site.

Alcohol Ink Christmas Card Workshop with Millie Moth

Once finished, Karen will take away your original artwork, photograph it, and transform it into a beautifully designed Christmas card layout which will then be professionally printed. You’ll have the option to include your own text or imagery on the front and back if you wish — making each card a true reflection of your style. Just like her Millie Moth cards, they will be printed onto lovely thick, slightly textured FSC certified card, with kraft envelopes to match. What’s included in the workshop: Create one or more festive designs using alcohol ink pens and techniques on yupo paper Help and guidance throughout to bring your ideas to life Option to include personal photos and/or your own text (you’ll see examples on the day) Karen will then take your artwork home to create your Christmas card design and send it off to be professionally printed Your original artwork, plus 6 square (150mm) cards featuring your design, will be posted to you to arrive at the end of November/beginning...
