Karen will guide you step-by-step to paint your very own floral masterpiece. No experience needed at all! All materials are provided - just bring your enthusiasm and your most daring brushstrokes! A joyful experimental art workshop inspired by flowers, light and creativity. £35.00 per person Maximum Participants: 12 adults Tea and coffee facilities available for a small contribution of £2.50 per person. Plenty of free parking available Yalham Hayes, Otterford Road, Taunton, Somerset TA3 7ED (in the Cow Shed Studio OR outside, weather permitting) What3Words: ///clings.likely.alleyway Join artist and educator Katie Sims for a relaxed and inspiring creative workshop set within the beautiful surroundings of Yalham Hayes - Home and Cutting Garden. Inspired by the collaborative, process-led workshops of Hannah Taylor-Matthews, this session celebrates the joy of creating together, embracing experimentation and finding inspiration in the natural world. Using freshly cut seasonal flowers grown by floral stylist Aizel Finch, we'll begin by tracing the fascinating shadows cast by blooms and foliage before allowing the process to unfold through playful exploration. Using watercolour, ink and pens, you'll create expressive artworks inspired by observation, imagination, colour and the influence of those creating alongside you. This workshop is not about producing a perfect finished piece. Instead, it is an opportunity to slow down, connect with nature, enjoy creative play and experience the wellbeing benefits of making art in a supportive and welcoming environment. Expect conversation, inspiration and plenty of creative freedom around one shared table.
