Derian House Colour Run

See the whole family splattered with paint in the Derian House Colour Run! You’ll run a short circular route, with paint thrown at you all the way. Here are a few details regarding the day… Date: Saturday 27 June 2026 Venue: Derian House Children’s Hospice, Chancery Road, Astley Village, Chorley, PR7 1DH Time: 10am – 4pm Ticket costs: £10 per adult, £5 per child, which can be purchased at the hospice On arrival, head to the registration tent and one of our team members will sign you in. They’ll hand you your Colour Run sunglasses and Colour Run t-shirt – the t-shirts can be popped over your clothing so no need to get changed. Please make sure you’re wearing your t-shirt and sunglasses for the Colour Run! Once you have purchased your tickets via the link below, one of our Fundraisers will be in touch with more details so keep your eyes peeled for an email! We kindly ask you to help us raise as much as possible at the event by setting up your own JustGiving page and sharing it with friends, family, and colleagues. By doing so, you are helping ensure that we can continue doing what we do for children and families across the North West. Thank you! Open Gardens: Under The Sea

Life is the bubbles – under the sea! On Sunday 12th July, we’ll be opening up the gardens at Derian House to supporters for our annual summer shindig, giving them the rare opportunity to visit our colourful and vibrant outdoor spaces as part of the National Garden Scheme. There will be plenty for the whole family to enjoy at this year’s sea-themed event, including arts and crafts, glitter face painting, and the chance to meet our cohort of Pets As Therapy pooches. Explore the state-of-the-art Sunshine Park, take part in our iconic scavenger hunt, and even get a sneak peak at the brand new Forest School nestled in the Woodland Walk. Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge

Think you can take on the Dales? Challenge yourself to an epic hike, and join Team Derian on our first-ever ‘Lancashire and South Cumbria Hospices Together’ event. This will see hospice supporters from across the region trek Pen-y-Ghent, Ingleborough, and Whernside in just twelve hours. The first 30 people to sign up will get an incredible 33% discount on their registration fee – from then on, all you have to do is raise a minimum of £200 for your local children’s hospice. NEW: Footsteps and forget-me-nots

This September, we will be welcoming families, friends, and supporters to join us on a walk in memory of loved ones lost in our brand new memory walk, Footsteps & Forget-Me-Nots. With every step we take, it’s a chance to share memories and stories, and celebrate the lives of the people who hold a special place in our hearts. The event will consist of love, memories, some live music and remembrance, followed by a short, family friendly, 6km route setting off from the hospice, and everyone is welcome to take part, with tickets costing £10 per adult and £5 per child. As we aim to raise vital funds for our hospice, we are asking people to fundraise as much as they can, and once you raise £50, you will receive a commemorative Forget-Me-Not to take home and treasure.
